Great camera and customer service!
By David & Violy Bellamy on Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2018
We bought four of these camera's and they work great! Set up is easy as long as you download the SmartCam app with the orange house icon. Picture quality is really good you can zoom in and still have decent picture quality as long as your video quality is set at HQ. several great features on these camera's such as two way talk just to mention one. Refurbmania has outstanding customer service and will back up their products. One of the camera's inferred didn't work and I called them and in two days I had a replacement camera. I would definitely buy from them again.

Outdated and buggy technology. Decent image quality, but Absolutely NO macOS support.

I really wanted to like this camera - I Like Samsung, and I purchased this one and a PTZ version. Both caused me similar issues: * First, the desktop software will ONLY run under windows, and ONLY in Internet Explorer - It needs to download an Active-X controller, which is a massive security issue, and Microsoft themselves is discontinuing IE because of this and other issues with the platform. * iOS app is not great either - I was unable to sign up for an account from the app - it just errors out. Signed up from IE on an old windows computer, then signed in on the app to set up the camera on the wifi - which looks like it worked, until the end of the process, when it says the camera didn't actually connect - would I like to try again? Camera status indicator shows that it is connected to the wifi, so I went back to the Windows PC - was able to add the camera to the account, and now it does show in the app! Mysterious! * Motion detection is ok - it does detect and record, but while it is doing so, I was unable to connect to the camera from the iOS app * Image quality is decent - both color and low light IR illuminated were very usable, * Camera fell off wifi within about 12h, which is surprising, as I have a decent router less than 10' from the camera location. * No support for time lapse - This wasn't in the manual, but I was hoping it would be included - nope. * Check the returns policy - I went to return this, but its at-cost returns, even if the item is faulty it seems. Disappointing. Digging deeper - I think this is a white labelled product that Samsung has branded, but isn't even up to their usual less than perfect software standard. Spring for the extra $$ and get a supported Google or Amazon product. I'm also looking at the Panasonic version. Hope this was helpful! - Dan
