A great way to get the movie theater experience when you can't go to the movies.
By J. S. Zimmerman on Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2020
It’s been in the back of my mind for many years to get a projector, but it was the closure and restriction of movie theater use that really got me to move. I’m glad I did – this projector really does manage to help capture some of the feel of watching movies at the theater. It manages to project a clear image on a screen larger than a large-screen television for a much lower price. The brightness of the lamp is impressive – while it won’t hold up in a well-sunlit room, it still produces quite a visible image in medium lighting (though really, darkness is better and more movie-theater like). Okay, now for the critiques. It does have a bunch of different kind of connections in the back for different kinds of inputs, but I would really have preferred a few more HDMI inputs. I guess I saw the VGA input as a waste of space; perhaps someone somewhere still uses devices requiring a VGA connection but at this point in time such owners should just expect to get an adaptor. Also, the internal speaker is adequate - it is about as good as most television internal speakers - but expect to use at least a sound bar to get better audio with better range into the bass area of the spectrum. For me, these are minor issues and for the price the device has a very high quality to cost ratio. Overall, I’m very happy to be able to watch movies, television, and other video in a manner that helps bring the movie-theater experience to home. Also, while I would normally suggest using a ceiling mount, I had a tall enough armoire that I was able to set it up high enough for it to work well for my needs. Please note, however, if you do something like this you won’t want it set up flat, so you will need spacers on which to place the legs so it can be angled downward – see the picture I’m including as an example.

Not a 4K uhd projector! It’s an 1080p HD projector
By Seth A. Eubanks on Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2025
Just so you know! This is not a 4K uhd projector! It’s a 1080p hd projector! It is the best version of an HD projector out there, which is why I gave 3 stars. Room does have to dark! Ps5 does not look good on it. If u want things to just be bigger then ya go for it. But that’s all it is a giant magnify glass
