Cat Quest - The Fur-tastic Trilogy

Cat Quest (and its sequels) are cute action-RPGs. There is a fair bit of readable dialog/ narrative so that's a potential barrier to the youngest players. For the most part you run around an open world slashing at things with a melee weapon and casting one of four spells. You get more powerful as you gain levels (by collecting experience orbs) and equipment (found, or bought) and upgrading spells (bought). This is about as simple as an RPG can be. It's cute, funny, entertaining and easy. Cat Quest 2 is a lot like Cat Quest, but seems to have an upgrade cost progression that scales up to fast. This forces you to grind more than I enjoyed and its tedious to get powerful enough to defeat end-game monsters. Cat Quest 3... haven't played it yet. This game cartridge is easily worth the price for the first two games and I expect the third to add even more content and fun.
