Simply Awesome and has nostalgia!

I purchased this game for my son, and it’s been a fantastic choice from day one. The gameplay is engaging, fun, and age-appropriate, and it keeps him entertained without feeling overwhelming or frustrating. The graphics are bright and polished, and the controls are intuitive enough that he picked them up quickly. What I appreciate most is that the game strikes a great balance between challenge and enjoyment. It encourages problem-solving, patience, and creativity, and it’s something he genuinely looks forward to playing. The story and characters are also well-designed, which adds to the overall experience. As a parent, I’m also happy with the safe and positive environment it provides—no inappropriate content, no aggressive microtransactions, and no confusing menus aimed at adults. Overall, I’m very pleased with the purchase. It’s a solid, well-made game that’s both entertaining and appropriate for kids. My son absolutely loves it, and I’d definitely recommend it to other parents.

Cool new story, some good old gameplay.

Sonic X Shadow generations is a remaster featuring a new story/campaign. If you want to re-enjoy Sonic Generations on your current console it is definitely worth a buy. If you can tolerate some slight censorship on the cutscenes and dialog. The Shadow Story in this game is all new, featuring similar gameplay to Sonic Generatons. While the story for the Shadow Campaign was solid, and the bonus features were a good celebration of the character and past games, the short campaign and few levels make it feel rushed and simple. Sonic Generations is like the best hits for the franchise, Shadow is more along the lines of hey remember this. There are some solid levels, and good bosses, the final level was terrible, and the final boss was annoying. On the plus side the trials before each boss were much better than the ones in Sonic Generations. There is decent replayability, in trying to get collectibles and get S rank on every level and boss. My conclusion is that the Shadow campaign was a disappointment. Fair warning, at the time of writing this review, the DLC that comes with the physical copy codes do not work. SEGA says they are going to fix it, but the game has been out for over a week and I have heard of no fix. Also for the dlc skins that do work I have yet to find in game.
