Great for family fun time!

We bought the Nex Playground a few weeks ago, and it’s quickly become one of our favorite things in the house! My kids absolutely love it—it gets them off the couch and moving around, which is a huge win for me as a parent. The setup was super simple—just plug it into the TV, and it was ready to go. No controllers needed, which is amazing (no more losing them under the couch!). The camera tracks their movements really well, and the games are so fun and easy to play. Their favorites so far are Peppa Pig Jump & Giggle and Fruit Ninja. I even caught myself playing and breaking a little sweat! 😄 It’s also great knowing that the games are safe, age-appropriate, and don’t have ads or anything weird popping up. We did decide to get the Play Pass subscription to unlock more games, and honestly, it’s been worth it. There’s enough variety to keep things interesting, and they’re always adding more. Overall, I highly recommend the Nex Playground to any family with younger kids. It’s fun, active, and feels like guilt-free screen time!

Different but not as polished as advertised

I was very excited to purchase this for my four year old to get some activity while indoors. I did quite a bit of reading before purchasing. It was very difficult to find any negative reviews online so I thought this was too good to be true. Once received I bought a play pass and waited for the games to download and started using. The games I have tried so far were whack a mole, Peppa pig and hungry hippos. The games were enjoyable and involved more physical activity than anticipated (which is a good thing ). The tracking however was not the best when I played with my daughter..I am about 6 foot 1 and my daughter about 3 and a half feet. The tracking system acted weird each time requiring either of us to go back or forward several times until it moved forward. Most of the times my daughter and I could not be next to each other and one had to be more forward than the other. In game tracking also tended to lose my daughter often even though she was on screen. This didn't happen as often when she or I was the sole player so I am guessing it is because of our height difference. Also the whack a mole game was fun but it would not record all hits. There are two highlighted circles which associate with your hand so when you move your hands you would hit the targets. This was not always following the hands and not always logging hits. As for Peppa pig again was nice and refreshing as a concept. However in several mini games the score was erratic. Some increased even when there was little to no activity and some didn't even though we tried . Numbers were off even as much as 40. So clearly for a competitive scoring this was unreliable And yes I ensured lighting was adequate and space was clear and the device was centered. Maybe this could be resolved with updates. Tech always have a starting point and improves as time goes by. In summary it was refreshing and different. But not reliable and consistent and has some rough edges.
