First experience with JBL
By Tristan Taylor on Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2025
First time buying JBL and I’m not disappointed. Build and sound quality are an easy 10/10. Metal faceplate with a rugged plastic exterior and easy to use top button layout. Nice covers on the back of the speaker keeping your charger, battery, and plugins safe. Really comfortable carrying handle and lighting is super bright with really good colors. The sound quality has super clean mids, highs with deep/punchy bass depending on your bass boost preference. App offers more tuning ability with lighting and sound. For my bass heads if you need an entry level speaker this is it. I use this in my car and it has enough power to give me a good experience and shake the mirrors a tad.

Not For Old School DJs That Mix by Ear
By Timothy J Dobesh on Reviewed in the United States on August 26, 2024
I'll start by saying that I had the Party box 300s several years ago and every now n then I would take them out to DJ on the beach, I would use the Guitar Line In, and there was not Latency or delay problems, however, assuming that since these were pretty much the same but a new model with updated tech, I quickly realized after trying all the inputs that there is a latency / delay issue (wired, no Bluetooth), after troubleshooting all 3 inputs, its super close, but off by a millisecond, I noticed this in DJAY app by watching the beat grid, I could turn my headphones all the way up, put them next the speaker and here the difference, now, this is ok if you're a Sync button DJ, which is what I had to use (for the first time) to get the beat match correctly lol, its super sad because I bought 2 of these, now I am stuck with them and the payments, super disappointed, huge buyer's remorse, yes I did my research, there were conflicting reports about the latency, some DJ's said they were fine, some said there was a latency issue, but they never mentioned the guitar input that I had used on previous models, and I have tried every input, the actual Line In was worst! There is also a daisy chain input that one redditor swore there was no delay, but it's worse than the guitar input during my testing, I will say that these speakers are nice for the portable feature and actually sound great the size and what they are, but I would not get these to DJ Professionally. Once I get caught up on everything as far as payments, I am selling these, and I may get the Everse 8's. I just think JBL needs to stop advertising them as DJ speakers, because they are not! they do sound nice, and perfect to go live from my small apt, but that's about it.
