Worked great with my condenser mic
By Debra Brinkman on Reviewed in the United States on November 9, 2023
Unit came well packaged with foam inserts for protection. My first thoughts out of the box were how solid and professional it felt. The case, face, controls, and ports all have a top notch look. The metal part of the case wraps all the way around the top, bottom, and sides without any seams. I really appreciate this type of construction in electronics. The front and back seem to be made of a high grade smooth plastic that is polished up to glass-like sheen. All of the buttons and dials feel tightly mounted to their respective surfaces as well as the controls themselves. Everything I plugged in, 1/4” stereo, USB or XLR, all felt very secure in their sockets. I do wish, however, that the phantom power could be applied to each XLR input individually as needed since I also have a dynamic mic which does not require it. This means that I can’t have both mics plugged into this interface at the same time, which is kind of annoying. The operation of the unit was super easy. The unit was pretty much plug and play with my Windows 10 PC. The unit powered up as soon as it was plugged into the USB port and the drivers installed themselves. The interface was ready to use in less than a minute. I do wish there was a power switch though. The unit is on and active as long as it is plugged in. I know you can disable it in windows when not in use but I would rather shut it down. I have to admit that I was a little skeptical about a USB powered unit providing 48V phantom power but I guess the amperage is low enough for it to convert the input. Regardless it powered my condenser mic quite admirably. I had a lot of voice-over to record for video editing and I was happy with the results. I am not a musician so I cannot speak to it’s utility with instruments but I did test all of the connections on the unit and they all worked well. The potentiometers for volume and gain had nice, precise adjustments.

If you're good at fixing electronics you may be able to fix the problem
By larafan1970 on Reviewed in the United States on May 7, 2025
I found out the knobs are taped on and it's pricey for something of this quality. the electronics are of shoddy workmanship. They need to fix the voltage problem and the defective parts and it will be a better interface. Will force the user to go to the solo m
