Small factor with great features
By Chris on Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2023
The D4PRO is a powerful dash/reverse cam in a small form factor. The packaging was very nice, with good protective covers for all of the lenses, and the including cables for the reverse camera were generous with their length, being long enough to use on SUVs and trucks alike. There are two separate USB ports that you can use, one on the GPS base at the top of the unit, or further down on the camera itself, the former being more convenient if you are running the cabling under panels. Also included is an extremely convenient panel tool, which made pulling panels and hiding cables MUCH easier. The front-facing camera, while having a very decent FOV, can record video in 2K or 4K resolution, which is super helpful when extra detail is needed (such as being able to read the plates on the vehicles in front of you!). The reverse camera records in 2K has a very large FOV, and can be set up to turn on when you put your car in reverse by connecting an extra included cable to a backup light. Both front and rear cameras record excellently during both day and night, with the video adjusting to a night vision mode that enables you to see details in low-light situations clearly. A really cool feature made available on this unit is its phone connectivity. While the camera records internally on a micro SD card, you can also download the Kingslim app to directly stream and download videos from the dashcam! This is really convenient, especially in a world with more and more streaming options versus needing to own a physical card reader. Connecting the phone is very simple, using a built-in WI-FI connection to link the unit to your phone. A GPS is also built into the top connecting base, which can show additional information such as MPH during a recording. While the built-in screen is fairly small, the menus are well-designed and the buttons are responsive. However, the small screen is not an issue due to the convenient streaming you can do on your phone. Overall, I would suggest this unit for anyone who would like something fairly small, discreet, and powerful for ease of mind.

The camera is excellent. The software is not.
By Brandon C. on Reviewed in the United States on November 30, 2023
The dashcam itself is excellent. The picture is crystal clear, it is simple enough to learn how to operate, and installing it in the car only took a few minutes. With that said: You should only buy this camera if you do not intend on using the smartphone features and just want to use a micro SD card to slot into a computer. The app the company designed to have the camera work with smartphones is functionally useless. Whenever you try to save a clip it sends you into a feedback loop of trying to connect to the camera's built in wifi, but when you finally connect it wont let you save any clips to your phone, it just starts a new recording that only saves to an SD card if you have one installed. Like I said in the beginning: Great dashcam, just don't buy it if you want to access and save clips quickly without having to use a computer.
