This camera is very convenient, before I start driving I plug it in, turn it on, and connect it to my phone. Then I feel safe while driving because if some maniac hits me, I have proof that it wasn't my fault. I leave it unplugged when my car is off even though it has a parked feature because I don't want it to drain my battery. I had a similar camera that didn't connect to my phone that drained my car battery more than once. So just to be safe I unplug it overnight. It's very convenient to lock the footage, just push the lock button on the actual dash camera when you're in an accident. Video quality is good, it even makes the daytime seem more clear and crisp than my naked eye can see. It's a great value, similar cameras that connect to your phone can be over $100. It works great. But sometimes my phone can't see the footage even when it's connected and my phone feed shows up black, however, if I save it on the dash cam with the lock function, it still saves and is visible so it doesn't really affect the functionality. I do love this camera and it's easy to install as well. Just hide it in the little cracks along the seams in your car. Use little command clips to keep it from hanging, and you're good to go! I'm very happy with this purchase.
