Really Good Holder For Recording Video or Watching Movies
By JustMyOpinion on Reviewed in the United States on September 22, 2023
I have to say I'm really impressed with this thing. I have several different setups for taking video for reviews and such. some involve lights.. But I don't always need that for what I'm reviewing especially if it's outside. This holder makes it easy to be able to take my phone and set it up in seconds to do a video recording. It would also be useful for travel to set up the phone to watch videos. The whole setup is quite sturdy. I appreciate that they included a heavy metal disk that you can attach the stand to with a suction cup. The upright is height adjustable... You can raise it about three inches. The phone holder itself is quite sturdy and releases easily. Would purchase again if I needed another one.

What a Dud! (Updated)
By ArkMan on Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2023
I ordered this with great expectations - and can hardly be more disappointed! The suction does not hold more than a few seconds on anything. I tried it on wood, marble countertop, laminated table top, file cabinet, a mirror even a sheet of glass! Nothing worked! There are references to a weighted base - I only had a suction base and there was no weight to that! (See pic) There was an "adhesive" base but they discouraged that for temporary use as removing it would apparently damage the surface so I had no intent to use that. The other features seemed to work ok but construction was pretty light-weight. Surely I am missing something since others rated this so highly! UPDATE - My mistake about the missing weighted base - I found it! Unfortunately misplaced when I enthusiastically opened the package I guess. But - the unit still would not stick to this base either. My solution was to attach a section of thick, double sided tape to the bottom of the unit so it would adhere to the base. (See pic) This makes the stand somewhat stable as log as I am careful. Shouldn't have to do that, but I'll give it 2 stars now since the 1 star was based on my error.
