Trust Refurbished Items

Purchased refurbished. Saved a bunch. I've purchased several devices that were refurbished. Why not? If it doesn't work out you still get to return it, and once again it has worked out. Looks new, came with all the things a new one comes with, works great. This is a replacement for the Roku Soundbar Pro, which also included the surround speakers and subwoofer because the sound quality became muffled, fuzzy, and Roku support and resets were not able to fix it. This Vizio all in one eliminates all the clutter and provides a very satisfying sound in all of it's modes, each of them being adjustable to personal settings through yhe bass, treble, virtual settings. I'm not quite sure why there are complaints about the lack of visible settings. Once you start setting up the device it automatically checks for the type of connections used, mine uses both optical and ARC to allow for use of TV remote for power and volume control, and set itself up for immediate use. It has eARC, which is also ARC for older sets like mine but will automatically switch to eARC if you have a TV capable of using it. For those of you unfamiliar with the differences between the two just know that if you never had the 'e' version, you won't miss it and will be mildly surprised (maybe) when you do get the opportunity. Like I said, there were complaints of a lack of visual settings, relying strictly on the lights on the front to guide you. It does give you vocal announcement as to which mode you are switching to, but it does take a little getting used to on the other settings. Follow the directions. They do explain. And once you get the hang of them for one mode your good to go on the others, adjusting the levels of bass and treble for each. Then it just becomes a matter of choosing the mode best suited for you. The TV remote, like I said, will only control power and volume and only if your TV has ARC. Mine requires both the optical and HDMI to be connected. Some TVs don't. But it works. Yes I'd recommend this sound bar over the standard TV speaker. The virtual surround doesn't really work well without eARC, but overall the bass is booming, the treble is as it should be and the voices are clear. Hope this helps.

Marginally Improved Sound for Flat Screen TVs
By LNsKC on Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2024
We bought the soundbar to improve on the tinny sound of our new 65-inch LG "smart" tv. Connectivity was by included HDMI cable (so, no Bluetooth rating). It paired w/ the tv automatically (a plus), but the sound improvement would have been disappointing (and return-worthy) if we'd paid full price. For ~$90 (Amazon refurbished) we've kept it.

Good sound for the money

I replaced a Sonos ARC with this soundbar. Yeah, it's no Sonos ARC, but at 15% of the cost, it's a real bargain. I am pretty happy with the sound, even though I have to leave it at the factory settings. Significant improvement over my LG OLED's built in speakers. The best upgrade for me is that this speaker works well with the LG system's software and on screen control. Plug and Play. Now the bad. Why do manufacturers think a bunch of LED lights, that can be one of 6 or 8 colors, is a good way to control a component? What a pain in the rear. It is so difficult for me to use, that I had to do a factory reset, and then leave it alone. If you have great color vision, can memorize what each color means, can memorize what is indicated by the sequence and number of LEDs lit, this might work well for you.

I am using this large 36 inch long sound bar with my small WiFi radio. Super easy to setup. What I probably enjoy the most is the remote. It simply is the best I have ever used.

Not actually sold by Amazon

When my unit arrived, the remote control didn't work and the controls on the side don't actually provide the full functionality of the remote. I called Vizio, gave them the serial number and to my surprise was told this was sold by Target! They quickly diagnosed the issue and are sending out a replacement remote. I was able to get a 3rd party remote with the same functionality within 72 hours while waiting for the up to 10 days for the actual Vizio replacement. Once I synced it to the Bluetooth on the TV which was VERY easy, the first thing I noticed was a major improvement in sound quality compared to the TV speakers! The "equalizer" isn't really an equalizer but preset modes like Music, Speech, Games etc. Didn't take me long to detect a setting that was comfortable to me for both regular TV and things like sports and movies etc. The bass is an improvement over regular TV speakers, although not as deep as a separate Sub-woofer but certainly more than adequate for me. If you are looking for a basic improvement to replace the sound from regular TV speakers you can't really beat this at the price point. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. Just a shame the supplied remote didn't work.

In my opinion buying refurbished is the way to go. For the most part speaker bar has great sound. I’m not using an external subwoofer, it has a small one built in the bar itself. I love the equalizer presets that you can easily scroll through with the included remote which allows you to find what works best for the program you’re watching. I have 2 gripes, One; speaker bar stops putting out sound at times and I have to switch tv setting to tv speaker and then back to bar for sound to start again. Secondly I like a lot of bass and had the speaker bar bass set at more or less 85%. Most of the time sound was great, but at times bass was distorted and sounded terrible. Set bass back to 50 or 60% and all is good.
