Rune Factory 3 Special Golden Memories Limited Edition

It’s RF3! This was my first RF game which got me into the franchise so I’m really happy to see it again on switch. The golden memories box itself feels a bit cheap and you can kind of see the lines of the cardboard on it but it’s still cute nonetheless. Mine, unfortunately, came with some damage, mainly, but not limited to, a pretty deep scratch on Miss Raven, which at least I can kind of ignore at the right angle in certain lighting. That said, the contents of the box are nice. While all the bachelors and bachelorettes are always pretty lovely, I’m a big fan of the protagonist designs so the standee with the protags from RF3-5 Micah, Frey, Lest, Alice, and Ares, is very loved and appreciated. The planner is also absolutely adorable and I’m sure the ost full of bg music is fantastic. Overall, despite the fact that I do love RF3 and that the goodies are cute, I would not personally recommend the golden memories edition. The extra 3 (or 4 if you count the box itself) items, while again cute, are certainly not worth the $40 more they cost you. As for the game itself though, I think $40 was around what I paid for the ds game at gamestop back when it came out so if you don’t have the original ds game or a ds at this point and want to give RF3 a play then I think it’s a worthwhile purchase! Or even if you do, if you want to support Rune Factory with its comeback or just find it easier as you’ve fully transitioned to the switch system, that is worthwhile as well.
