Rune Factory 3 Special

I have been playing this game for a several hours now and the only discernable changes I have found from the original Rune Factory 3 is renewed art and an addition of the newly wed mode. I expected that there would be gameplay improvements from the original game. Unfortunately, there are none. You still can only make one recipe at a time, you can't unequip a tool with a quick button, no ability to focus on a single square for an action, swinging a sword takes rp, etc. All the gameplay improvements made in rune factory 4 were not given in this "remaster". Regretably my critisisms do not stop at lack of improvement in gameplay. The 3D models look like you're playing a DS game. The controls are wonky at BEST. I am constantly using my tool on the wrong space or hitting the wrong target. Button mashing enemies is borderline required since it's nearly impossible to aim. I genuinely think players are better off just playing the original if they already have it, or buying a used copy if they don't. The game is only 40 dollars so I guess I am a little more forgiving of the lack of improvements, but since there's nearly no differences between the switch game and the DS version, I cannot really reccomend it even at the current price point. I will not be pre-ordering any other Rune Factory from this point on. The danger of being burned is clearly great.
