Case-Mate Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus Case [12ft Drop Protection] [Wireless Charging]

This is a super beautiful case. The mother of pearl pieces are big enough to reveal those iridescent colors one loves about that shell, and the silver pieces sparkle amazingly in the sun. Love it on my Cream-colored Samsung phone. I was surprised the box didn’t have a protective cover over the case to help avoid any scratches prior to making it to the customer. It did have some tiny bits of black dust that could have come from inside the paper mailer in which it came, or could have been something from where it was stored. I wiped it down really well with a damp tissue square and was able to buff out any elements on the exterior and also wiped well the interior to be sure there weren’t any random specs. The back is indeed the hard PC plastic and thicker than I expected, which is good protection of the back lenses. But think that is why it does add a little bit of weight & heftiness to the phone overall. The sides are the semi-pliable and more cushy TPU, which makes it still protective around the edges, but pliable enough to get the phone into the case. That always adds some good grippy-ness when holding it, too. It is a very tight fit, and I had a hard time figuring out how to get the phone back out to apply the screen protector. But that is good, considering it will stay put once on. The corners have a hint of extra reinforcement (observe the slight curvature in the photos), which is great. We all know many drops of the phone seem to come down on the corners for some reason. I have a tempered glass screen protector and have heard some people complain in general about some cases not fitting well b/c of those. But on this phone, the case doesn’t wrap up over the edge of the screen, so does not cause any issues with the screen protector. The profile all around the screen IS a bit lower than other cases I’ve used before. I still think it is high enough that it will protect the phone okay when laid down on the screen side though.
