Great Beginner Drone!
By Flopski on Reviewed in the United States on May 17, 2025
Best Valued DJI Beginner Drone! It's easy to fly and great for beginners who want to get into DJI drones. It's packed with lots of features like QuickShots that helps you record videos. It's camera quality is superb with up to 4K 30fps video. It's very stable in-flight (as long as you have at least 13 satellites/GPS connection) . There's lots of functionality in the drone that you can use for different occasions such as nature photography or just flying it for fun! At the time of writing this review, the DJI Mini 4 Pro was out and the DJI Mini 3 Pro was hard to find. I suggest getting the DJI Mini 3 Pro if you can find one that's reasonably priced and at a price you can afford since it does have sensors that assist you in-flight and can stop you from crashing into things as the DJI Mini 3 (non pro) does not have sensors except for downward sensors used for landing. This drone will still get the job done but everything comes down to personal preference and use case. If you value more features and increased safety, I suggest looking into the DJI Mini 3 Pro as I mentioned earlier or maybe the DJI Flip. If your into FPV, I suggest getting an Avata or an FPV drone rather than a drone like this since the FPV mode on the mini series or any other series than the Avata series is not truly FPV and doesn't fully submerge you into the experience of flying FPV.

Nice drone, but not HDR - Deceptive Marketing
By B-lo on Reviewed in the United States on September 5, 2024
This is my first ever drone. I have literally no experience with any other DJI drone or competitor but I was looking for a somewhat entry level drone that was still decent in quality and features to film the building of our house and other fun projects. Did a bunch of research and it was clear that DJI was the leader, so then it was a matter of selecting which one. I was originally going to purchase the mini-4k at what I felt was a fair price with features, but I love HDR filming, movies, shows etc. If my iPhone can do it, I'm sure the extra $200 for this feature would eventually make the steeper price tag worth it. Wrong. Do a little research and you'll find that DJI claims that the drone uses HDR technology, but it's not the HDR you're thinking of... you know the kind that your TV recognizes and flashes in the top right corner and changes its picture settings/brightness to take advantage of? Yeah it's not that. I don't have a mini-4k to compare but I know it's for sure not the HDR I thought it was and you'll find online that I'm not the only customer who is frustrated by this deceptive marketing. Oh the drone itself is great. Fly's well, features are intuitive once you learn them and it's everything I wanted, but what I probably could have had for cheaper with the mini-4k. shame
