GooDee Outdoor Movie Projector

It does exactly as it says. We only thought that we could send from a movie from our app directly to the beamer. That did not work for us. We are in the Netherlands and I don't know if it is because of the app or something else. Sound did go through. We could work around it but the point was to be able to stream directly. With the support of wifi an 5g we thought it would go easily. Maybe we missunderstood.

This Goodee projector is a nice looking projector i decided to buy this model because i saw it was upgraded but comparing it to my old Goodee projector i bought 2 years ago, i learned that the old model of goodee projector is better when it comes to contrast and color accuracy amd brightness!!! I cant belive that this upgraded version is nothing compared to my old one. My old goodee is brighter and is much easy to use.

For the price this is a great mini projector! If you're looking for something that's super high contrast with an extra sharp picture that you can see even in daylight, that's not this and you'll want to look at devices that cost several times more. However if you are in the market for a budget priced projector that has a very nice picture in low light, this will work great. The darker your surroundings the richer the colors show up, and having a screen to broadcast to also makes a big difference. This picture that this projects isn't the type that can be shown on just any wall and have it look high definition. It does best when it's used the way it was intended, with a proper screen surface to display on and in a dark setting. There's no built in speakers but I was able to easily connect my TV's sound bar to it using a 3.5mm cord. There are other Bluetooth options, but using the cable was simple, I just went that route. It worked out great since there are no lags between the audio and video. The projector is small so it's very easy to store or even bring with you places. So much easier than my older one that's probably 4 times as big as this one is. The mini projector even comes with it's own carrying case, so I can keep track of cables that go with it too. That was an issue I had with my older projector. I often lent it out to people for events like weddings, funerals, graduations and such. I had no travel bag of any kind for it and the cables that I kept with it often got lost because I wasn't able to keep everything together very easily. This projector has a case so everything is exact to keep together. Overall I'm pleased with this mini projector. It's a great option to have when you don't want to spend a ton of money for one. The price to buy this is about the same as to rent a larger one even! So if you happen to need one for an event, why bother renting one when you can buy a mini one like this and then always have it?

This thing is totally worth the price. The adjustments are easy to make, the sound on it is pretty fantastic if you don't have other speakers, and it's bright enough to use in our garage with a screen. I've already recommended this to a few friends with kids that have replicated our set up. Highly recommend.

You get good product for the money.

This projector came nicely packaged in a sturdy box with foam padding. Inside the box the projector was in a padded cloth case with a carry handle. Inside the case, along with a power cord and HDMI cable, was a cleaning kit with swabs and dust cloth. It also contained a quick start guide and a slightly more detailed User Manual. The title says "Outdoor Movie Projector" but be aware this unit is not weather proof, and the first two pages of the User Manual describes all the environments that the projector should not be exposed to. The guide contained a QR code to be scanned to bring you to the website that contains a few nice, short (around 30 seconds) videos (no audio) on how to connect to and operate the projector (see photos). It also has 24/7 live chat support. For a first timer like myself, I recommend watching the videos, then reading the 27 page User Manual, then having the manual accessible for reference when setting it up for the first time. The manual is not detailed but when augmented with the videos, with a little trial and error, I was able to set it up using an HDMI cable attached to my laptop. I was also able to setup and use the “Smart View” function on my Android tablet to wirelessly mirror my screen. The first time I connected my tablet, the connection was very poor (video and audio breaking up) and the pop up recommended reconnecting. I disconnected then reconnected, and it worked fine. Note: I don’t have the WLAN option that was shown on the video on my Android devices and was still able to connect. Also, I connected without adding the projector to my WiFi network. I tried to connect my Android devices via Bluetooth, but it looks like the Bluetooth connection is just to connect a Bluetooth speaker. One thing I did note was there is no mention anywhere that I could find that addressed the filter accessible from the underside of the projector (see photos) that says “Please Pull Out and Clean Up Regularly”. It was very difficult to remove the filter and I thought I was missing a latch or some release, and I was concerned I might break it, but it finally was able to remove it by getting a finger nail on it and wiggling until it came out.

Perfect picture! We use this with our 20ft screen and have had zero issues. It does have to be pretty dark if using outdoors. No complaints for the price though. I love the ease of setup and the Bluetooth option. And being able to connect my firestick.
