Speck Clear iPhone 14 PRO Case

I have been using Speck phone cases for almost 10 years now and stayed loyal to them because I know I'm prone to dropping my phone (never anything major). I've never really gotten any major damage to my phone from using Speck phone cases until now. I got an iPhone 14 Pro last September (2022). I was using the Apple phone case because I didn't want to go careless while waiting for other brands to release their phone cases. I had dropped my phone with the Apple one and noticed green lines. I ordered this Speck phone case in April. Anytime I would drop my phone with the Speck phone case the green lines would get worse but I continued to use this phone case because I thought that it was normal and not the fault of the case. UNTIL I dropped my phone today (literally like a 3 ft drop) on my kitchen floor and noticed the green lines got worse, which was honestly fine because I was glad there was no crack to my screen. An hour later I flipped around my phone to see that THE WHOLE BACK OF MY PHONE WAS SHATTERED. I have never ever written a review in my life for any product, even ones that I thought was not worth the money at all. However, getting the back of my phone fixed will cost me around $499, when this could have been adverted by using a different brand case that may offer more protection, so I thought it was only right to write a review to help others decide whether this phone case is the right one for them or not (especially if they are looking for an extremely protective case). A friend had also messaged me saying that the whole back of her phone was shattered as well and mentioned how she coincidentally also had a Speck phone case. I'm not sure if these cases just don't work well anymore with new iPhones or if the quality of their cases has just gone down. Anyways really sad and disappointed about this case and am on the hunt for a different brand phone case because I don't think I can continue using this one after this incident.
