Samsung HW-B650 3.1CH Soundbar System

After waiting an extra two days (though that's just on Amazon) I excitedly received my new sound bar. I set it up and was instantly disappointed. Set-up wasn't too hard (though why these designers put the two HDMI ports in a small recessed cavity that I struggled to get my normal-sized human fingers into baffles me) and I got it working with only a small amount of difficulty. I then sat back to listen to the new speakers. They sounded awful. I tried messing around with the various settings (turning dialogue boost on and off, trying to the different built-in "audio settings", increasing/decreasing the subwoofer) but I could only manage to get it to sound poor in different ways. Sometimes it seemed tolerable but other times it sounded like there was a ringing, a reverb, a phasing, or an echo problem. I eventually restored my previous ad-hoc sound system to confirm that there wasn't anything wrong with the acoustics of the space. Additionally, the entire sound bar wasn't very loud. It was merely loud. At full volume it should have been uncomfortable to listen to but it wasn't. That means that for programs with a low output signal I would not have been able to bring the volume up to a reasonable level. Samsung failed me with this product.
