ALMOST 2 YEARS PRE ORDER
By JZ the reviewer on Reviewed in the United States on May 11, 2024
just got it today, 2 days before steam launch it comes with a Steam code so i'll wait until the steam launch to redeem the code so this is a review of the models, the ships have a much darker blue color, comes with a USBC light up display for the mother ship the mother ship comes with 2 display mounts for vertical and horizontal display of the mother ship. With the horizontal set up you can remove the magnetic hanger door to display a capitol ship being launched by attaching it to the pegs on the hanger door, the entire hanger lights up in blue. the only disappointing thing is the scale of the ships. The capitol ships are much smaller than whats pictured from the pre order, and the recon craft are huge about the size of Frigate class ship, almost the size of the missile frigate which breaks the illusion. The Destroyer in my opinion is too small and its barely larger than the missile frigate, which seems to be the only ship in scale compared to the mother ship. so the ships are not exactly to scale when compared to the mother ship. the ships are made of that rubber hard plastic you get from other statue displays from video game bundles this is a nice display piece for sci fi fans, i don't really own man special edition video game statues, i still have my COD 2 night goggles that still works and i gave my COD winter climber statue to my little nephew but as a sci fi fan im keeping this one UPDATE: you can go over to steam for an honest video game review most people suspect of DEI interference of the the games development. my biggest complaint is with Home World 1&2 they get this atmosphere of massive scale of space and the feel of emptiness and dread just around the next asteroid. right off the bat with the mother ship launch in home world 3 i was like "is that it" the ship seems small its next to other ships that are suppose to be cruisers and are nearly as big as the mother ship. i felt no sense of epic scale and the zoom is very limited i can't do an extreme zoom into cockpit point of view on one fighter to create a cinematic combat experience. this element has been lost and with it the game feels like your playing chess with spaceships very dull and bland.

Shell of a homeworld game.
By Peter griganavicius on Reviewed in the United States on November 19, 2024
This game is an absolute spit in the face to the Home World series. And as of Nov 18th the developers are pulling the plug on any additional DLC/content releases for good. This game is not worth a fraction of what it is selling for. The mini-figures and collectors items however are very worth it. Buy the box, throw out the game.
