Great camera
By Ana on Reviewed in the United States on May 19, 2025
I got this solar security camera as a gift for my dad, and he absolutely loves it! The 2K video quality is super clear, even at night thanks to the color night vision. It was easy to install, even for the old school man, and the solar panel keeps it powered without needing to mess with wires. The pan-tilt feature gives a full 355° view of the yard, and the two-way audio lets him talk to anyone near the house. He especially appreciates the motion alerts and the option to store footage on an SD card or in the cloud. A great, reliable outdoor security solution—perfect gift for peace of mind!

Not all it's cracked up to be
By SSDD on Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2022
This is a total rewrite for clarity, I still give only 3 stars; Pros; (1) Installation is fairly simple to setup (2) No need to crawl around running cables, it's WiFi (3) I have mine plugged into power outlet but I did try the solar and it works great if the panel is getting direct sun light. (4) Battery life @ 100% on the cam is great will last several days or more without power depending on how often you access the cam to view video clips. (5) Pan, Tilt, Zoom work pretty good video image is very good considering its not 4K (6) Sound is good, and I’ve used the mic a couple of times to talk to someone outside, one day the neighbors kids were playing in front of the house and I could clearly hear what they were saying. Cons; (1) Recording time for alerts is 20sec max, there is a 3-5 sec delay before the next alert recording will take place (not good) so there can be gaps in video for whatever is happening (not good). (2) Alert sensitivity even on (low) will trigger a lot of false alerts, that can be annoying. (3) I use a video quality 128G Micro SD card, the software seems to record ok but only seems to allow you to see the current days video clips, sometimes it will let me see yesterdays clips but not all the time. In any case I can’t go back and look at last weeks clips even though the SD card shows only 35% used. When it gets close to full I’m going to pull the SD card and see if the files are visible from my computer. UPDATE 02/26/2023; Looks like one of the software updates corrected my ability to see previous video clips. I'm now able to see up to 72 hours or three days. All other Pros/Cons still exist. Example, Cam recorded someone late one night ( 2 am) drive up to my mail box then the passenger side opened their door. End of Video, what they did and/or happened next unknown, my 20 sec clip ran out. In the next clip the car was gone, I have no idea what they were doing sense the clip cut off before I could see who it was getting out !!! Very disappointing !! UPDATE: 03/25/2023 I had a glitch with the camera not rotating right and their tech was quick to help out. It was simply nothing more then power cycling the camera outside. Also I replaced the SSD card in the camera with a new card. I took the old one and plugged it into my computer and I was able to see everything going back some two months so nothing is deleted, they just only show you 72 hours via the app. If you think the quality is good on your phone you should look at it on a 32" screen the video quality is excellent. If you are not using their cloud service for video storage you may have issues should your SSD fill up. Mind did once and the update would not install. So keep track of the remaining free space and (1) replace the SSD before it totally fills up or (2) do a reformat from the app which is what I did. It freed up space and I was surprised to see I was still able to see the last 72 hours of video. Even with these obvious limitations, I still purchased (4) cameras because they are inexpensive and easy to setup. I have them placed around the house and in the garage. Gave my Daughter & Son-In-Law access so they can keep an eye out as well when we are not home. If your unsure do what I did, purchase one and try it out, use it for a few weeks so you can fully understand it's pro's and con's first before purchasing more.
