Great GPS not just for trucks

My friend is a truck driver and I picked this up for him. He gave me his thoughts to review. The screen is a great size and can be read easily even if it is on the dash. It is customizable based on your truck size, weight and cargo. Yes it does have options for hazardous materials. It is fairly good searching for addresses and truck stops and the navigation is clear. It comes with the suction mount and it is connected by magnets so you don't need to disconnect anything to remove the unit. It did need an update out of the box which was easily done by connecting to WiFi. The main map update was 6Gb. It rebooted a few times during the process. It does have options for cars and busses making this versatile. Would definitely recommend getting this.

GPS died after less than a year

I bought this gps back in July of 2023 and have used it 2-3 times a week at the most very moderately as just when needed but went to turn it on and Rand McNally logo would pop up then shut right back off. Left it on the charger for a few hours and got the same results. I spent well over $400 for this GPS so I’m pretty upset at this unfortunate result in how the product turned out. Will definitely check more reviews on products after this awful experience, I just thought with a big brand like Rand I’d get what I paid for .
