Wyze Lamp Socket Power Adapter for Wyze Cam v3

This is not rocket science; we had these kind of sockets for a long time - unfortunately not so many in the US. But anyhow - Wyze took a good initiative, one step in right direction but work half done. Honestly I feel how can they introduce so many stupid design decisions in one small socket!. Here are the things they could have done better: 1. Price it right! 9.99 is appropriate, but then you charge for shipping on your own website or sum both up on Amazon. 2. Put a Wifi chip. I thought it would be expensive but Costco is selling FEIT Wifi color changing bulbs for 5$ each so how expensive Wifi chip can be? 3. Make sure spotlight works with this setup. 4. The connections!!! yes - Thomas Alva Edison would have done this right. So you have a cable which comes out of the bulb socket - [USB to male micro USB] - goes to camera which has [Female micro USB to Camera]. Camera includes an extra cable [Male USB to male micro USB]. Its a Math problem to put these 3 cables in order. Only if Socket had [USB to Female USB] so you can add up other two cables [Male USB to male micro USB] and then [Female micro USB to Camera]. 5. Finally - who uses micro USB these days, Apart from some useless android devices [pun intended]! 6. Suggestion - HIRE A PRODUCT MANAGER. You don't need one from Google. Anyone would do this right. This is exactly what happens when you have tech folks design end user products. But hey if you buy another micro USB extension cable or if your setup permits, this might be the right device for you. Hence 3 stars.
