You are forced to buy this

Don't get me wrong, the product has no issue, the rating is for Google. I don't like the fact that you are forced to buy this separately/additionally when you get a Pixel 8 because Google does NOT include this in the Pixel 8 box. I have so many chargers, but none of them works with Pixel 8, AND charging by computer USB-C port doesn't work either (I bought a new high end laptop so it is not the computer's problem). The Pixel 8 would say "Connected, not charging" with all existing chargers I have and the computer charging, wasted a lot of time trying to figure out why it didn't charge, and you see this comments in many forums. Sad to see Google started to trick you like Apple nowadays. If your Pixel 8 cannot or does not want to work with any other chargers, you should include this charger in the box or at least tell people you must buy this.

The official charger for the Google Pixel 7 Pro is without a doubt, a standout product in the smartphone accessories market. It is efficient, reliable, and specifically designed to take full advantage of this high-end phone's charging capabilities. Firstly, its design is minimalist and modern, following Google's aesthetics. It is lightweight, compact, and easy to carry, making it ideal for travel and commuting. Its high-quality construction guarantees durability, and its matte finish adds a touch of sophistication. In terms of its performance, this charger is impressive. With compatibility with the Google Pixel 7 Pro's fast charging, it can take your phone from 0% to 50% in just 30 minutes, and to a full charge in less than two hours. This means you will never be without your phone for long, even if the battery is completely drained. Another feature worth mentioning is its ability to adapt to the power required by your device. Thanks to its smart chip, the charger provides exactly the amount of power your Pixel 7 Pro needs, protecting it from overcharging and extending the battery's lifespan. In addition, the Google Pixel 7 Pro's charger is compatible with USB-C charging standards, so you can use it with a variety of other devices. This is especially useful if you have multiple gadgets at home and don't want to carry a different charger for each one. In summary, the official charger for the Google Pixel 7 Pro is an essential accessory that offers fast and secure charging performance. It's not just a smart purchase for those who own this phone, but also for those looking for a reliable, versatile, and high-quality charger.

When I read reviews of the Pixel 8 Pro, one of the gripes was charging time being rather long. I'm not sure what kind of charger the complainers were using, but I doubt it was this one. I tried charging my phone with my old Samsung S8 charger on day 1 and it was slow as molasses in January. So, I did some research and concluded that a Google branded 30W charger sounded like the right piece of equipment to get the job done. Yes, indeed. Using the relatively short double male cord that came with the phone and this 30W charger, my phone will charge from practically zero (ok, 2% was the lowest I drained it thus far) to the low to mid 90% range in just about exactly 1 hour. Up until it gets to the mid 90's, where it takes longer to pack those last few electrons into the battery (and, according to many articles, charging up to there will likely reduce battery life), the charging rate is almost exactly 1 1/2% per minute. Doing simple math, you'll get almost a 50% increase in charge over 1/2 hour. That does not seem slow in my book. As far as a potential increase in charging speed by getting a 45W (or possibly stronger?) charger, my research suggested that if you pump power into the battery too quickly, that also can be detrimental to overall battery life. So this 30W Google branded block seemed like a good, balanced solution. I'm completely satisfied. And, as a footnote, I am a relatively moderate phone user. I could just about get by on my S8 with a full charge for a day, not quite making it on some occasions. The Pixel 8 Pro - even with charging it to only ~85% - lasts me for almost a full 3 days, under most circumstances. If I'm using the device more significantly, it still has not (in the 2 1/2 months I've owned it) ever needed to be charged in less than 2 days.

Units electrical output well modulated to tight control of voltage and current to protect and charge mobile phones. Gets warm but not burning hot in operation. Would buy again if ever needed.

I have so many chargers for Android I didn't want to buy another one but the truth is the cellphone doesn't work properly with other chargers. It's a shame really, so much waste. The charger works great, it charges my phone completely in 20 minutes when with the generic one it would take me more than an hour. One thing I noticed is that it slows down a lot when using an adapter, it has to go straight into the socket, which is a bit annoying since I travel a lot.

I lost the 30W USC Charger and charging cable that came with my Google Pixel 7a, so I immediately ordered this knowing that this unit is the best charger for my phone and anything less than the 30W would not charge it. This little powerful unit is super fast charging, but WHAT I DID NOT EXPECT WAS THAT IT DID NOT COME WITH A CHARGING CABLE. Just know that for your $30 this is only half of what came with your phone. :-/

Decent charger does what it says, it's efficient and consumes little energy, that's why I bought it, one thing to note is the charger I bought has a little weezing sound when charging at full 30 watts, but it isn't something that you'd notice that much, don't know if all of them are like that or only mine, it did its job so didn't bother returning it.
