Tiny Charger with a lot of juice
By Nicholas H. on Reviewed in the United States on April 16, 2022
I've had it for about 2 weeks now and I've been using it to charge things like my phone, kindle and other assorted electronics. First off I was surprised at how small it is for the 33Watts it claims. comparing to the free wall warts that were included in my kindle, that one is only 5 Watts and about 2/3rd's the size of this one, it's also the same size as my 20 Watt Apple Charger. I never got close to the claimed 33 Watts, but I think that it's due to not having hugely power hungry items to charge. When I plugged my iPhone cable into the USB-A port I got about 7.5 Watts, not great, but I think its a limitation of the iPhone and not the charger. Using the USB-C port my meter measured an average of 16.6W which is a huge improvement. the power did fluctuate a bunch and I think that was a combination of the iPhone charge circuit and a loose connection on the meter and the charger. I wish Amazon allowed half stars, because I wish I could give it 4.5 instead of 5 because I tried using this with my MagSafe Charger instead of my 20 Watt Apple charger and Apple must have some voodoo magic in there chargers because I was only able to achieve 1.3 Amps instead of 2 Amps the Apple charger gave me. So if your hoping this charger will replace all your MagSafe charger you may be out of luck. For the times I had this thing plugged in I really didn't feel any noticeable amount of heat, so I wouldn't be worried about this thing being in a confined space. Pro's: 2 Ports (USB-A and USB-C) 16+ Watts using USB-C charging my iPhone Size Cons: Does not allow fast charging with a MagSafe charger (few non-Apple chargers do) I plan to keep this in my carry-on bag for traveling, I've already got enough chargers at home but when traveling, space is at a premium and not having to bring a million cables and chargers is a bonus.

Edit: Shorts Out Easily. Original: Small and Convenient, but not Quite Small Enough

The KONNEK STEIN USB 3.0 Type C/A Dual-Port Fast Charger is a conveniently small device that allows charging two devices at the same time. It worked well charging my Apple iPhone 11 Pro and Apple Watch Series 4 last night without any difficulties. Edit: Day two the standard USB 3.0 port seemed to short out. At first it seemed it could only charge one device at a time, but after fiddling with the cord a bit I was able to charge the phone and watch simultaneously. Third and fourth night had similar problems so I hooked my watch charge back up to the original USB power block and it was up and charging in seconds. Because of this and because of its size, this device has no use better than the two original charges separately. However, if one doesn’t work and you need a replacement, a little bit of fiddling every charge will get you up and charging. Original, Continued: It claims faster charging times, but it seems close to the same as the OEM charger. I was able to charge my watch from about 45% to 95% in less than an hour today. Apple's OEM chargers claim to go from 0-80% in an hour and a half, and 0-100% in two hours. I knew I was able to save an outlet on my power strips by replacing two charging blocks with just this one, and it did just that, as pictured. I was hoping it would be able save a third outlet as well, but like its OEM predecessor, it is too big for only one outlet, and blocks access to a second outlet while utilizing the first. Still, using two outlets to charge two devices with one charging block is better than using three outlets to charge two devices with two charging blocks. Edit: Overall, I only recommend the product, as a replacement for a defective plug. It shorts too easily and is a hassle to get back up and charging. As such, even if it is a replacement, it might be better to go with an OEM device, especially if it includes a warranty.
