Party in a Box, and a Game-Changer for My Mobile DJ Setup
By Garet Hofer on Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2024
The JBL PartyBox 110 has been a fantastic addition to my mobile DJ setup. If you’re looking for a speaker that delivers powerful, crisp sound, easy connectivity, and some added visual flair, this is it. After using it for a while, I can confidently say it checks all the boxes for both personal and professional use. Sound Quality: A Clear Winner First and foremost, the sound quality is amazing. The PartyBox 110 packs serious punch with its deep bass and clear highs. Even at high volumes, there’s no distortion, which is crucial when you’re working events or just jamming out at home. What I really appreciate is the ability to turn off the bass boost when needed, which makes these excellent as PA speakers for announcements or spoken word. When paired with my Shure microphone, it worked seamlessly and delivered clear, professional sound for speeches and toasts. Pairing and Connectivity: Smooth Sailing Pairing these speakers is super easy. Whether you’re connecting via Bluetooth or through a wired connection, the process is straightforward and hassle-free. I connected my Shure microphone and additional audio sources without any hiccups, and everything worked as expected. Plus, pairing two PartyBox 110s together for stereo sound is a breeze and really enhances the experience, especially for larger events or spaces. Lights: A Nice Touch Let’s talk about the lights! The built-in light show is a fun addition that adds a whole new level of energy to any event. The lights are bright, colorful, and can sync to the beat of the music, which my clients and guests absolutely love. If you’re using them for professional events and don’t want the lights, you can turn them off, which is a thoughtful option. Versatility: DJ and Beyond For my mobile DJ gigs, these speakers have been a game-changer. They’re portable, easy to transport, and versatile enough to handle a variety of setups. Whether I’m playing music, using them as PA speakers, or even just letting guests connect their phones to play their favorite tunes, the PartyBox 110 does it all. The battery life is great, too—it easily lasts through long events without needing a recharge. Build and Design: Sturdy and Stylish These speakers feel solid and well-built. The handle design makes them easy to carry around, and they look great, too. The sleek black design with the light rings gives it a professional yet fun vibe that fits in perfectly with any event, from weddings to backyard parties. Overall Verdict The JBL PartyBox 110 is a fantastic all-in-one solution for anyone looking to elevate their music experience, whether for personal use or professional gigs. The sound quality is top-notch, the lights add a fun element, and the ease of connectivity and versatility make them perfect for just about any occasion. If you’re on the fence about adding these to your setup, don’t hesitate—they’re worth every penny.

It's not as loud as you think it would be for it's size and cost.
By Meli on Reviewed in the United States on August 3, 2024
Now I know why they dropped the price from the previous 4-500 down to the 300 area. Here is a brutally honest review. ITS NOT LOUD for it's size. The size did surprise me at first and I was like "ohh, it's bigger than I expected it to be for a portable speaker" but than when you start playing music on it, it's not as loud as it should be for it's size. For the battery, I have noticed that you can play this at 20% for 12 hours or you can buy a smaller (cheaper) speaker and play that at 50% for 12 hours and be able to save a ton of money. Sure, you have the potential of having it go a bit louder but it's still not as loud as it should be (read above, duh, that's why we are here). The lights are meh, a few prefixed settings and a few more options with the app but it doesn't matter when the music doesn't quite match the synchronization of the program. So thats a bust. Bluetooth connection is perfectly fine, it works and there is no distortion. That's 5 STARS, literally the only good thing about this speaker. Lol. I cause JBL outsource that hardware and it was actually a good company that made it. Lol. Value for money, NO, not worth it. 1 STAR. Entertainment value, no, get something cheaper to run at 50% and than get 2 of those so you can run them in stereo for a better sound balance. This runs in mono unless you get 2 of them but why, this one sucks. 1 STAR. The weight is not that bad but I wish they provided a bigger battery since you are already carrying this around or buying the backpack for it for easier transportation. 2.5 STARS. All in all, don't buy it. Get 2 cheaper versions and run them stereo and you will have a better time than one of these at 6 times the price but have to run it at 20% for the longevity. Ohh, I almost forgot. 1 STAR for charging. You have to use an AC plug and plug it into a wall outlet or a huge portable battery pack that gives you AC plugs. You can NOT charge this with a portable battery pack that uses 100+ watts thru USB-C. Big fat NEGATIVE on that one. I am returning this speaker. It's not worth the money.
