EXCEPTIONAL VALUE!!

First of all, the negative reviews seem to all be “I got a tv that was damaged, 1 star” If that’s the case just SEND IT BACK, yeah it’s annoying but if you don’t want to take that risk buy it from a local store. The other one star reviews seem to be “Bad picture don’t buy, 1 star” Ummm either your trolling, getting payed to write negative false reviews, or your lazy. For a tv you plan to have for 5-10 years that you will use constantly take a week and adjust/calibrate your tv. Anyway, about the tv, I spent countless hours researching best tv to buy for around $500. There were several I considered but I’m extremely happy I chose this one. It’s definitely the best tv out there for under $500, that’s not a gaming tv, which i don’t game so i don’t care about 120hz or whatever. Anyway I got the 50’ for $412 tax and shipping included. The box arrived on time and undamaged (to my surprise). The packaging of the tv was absolutely tough, sturdy, and very impressive. It took a total of 10 mins to set up. The picture is super clear, bright, and vibrant right out of the box so I turned down the backlight and brightness a tad, turned the contrast up a little and turn off some features such as motion settings etc., and left the color alone. I was just looking for a tv with great picture to watch hd cable, my dvd/Blu-ray collection (1,000 plus), Netflix and Amazon Prime,(all of which this tv does perfectly.) One minor drawback was having to agree to Googles’ terms and conditions or you can’t access the tv, so I agreed and then turned all that stuff off afterwards, but Google knows everything about everyone so it doesn’t matter. Anyway, I’ve only had this tv for a month but I am extremely impressed with the quality for the price. As for the sound maybe I don’t know what good tv sound should be but this tv gets LOUD!! I put the settings on music and I can’t turn it up past 30 out of 100, but as to be expected the bass is lacking. For a bedroom tv it has excellent sound!! As for the customer service, thankfully I haven’t and hopefully don’t have to use it, but this tv for watching pretty much anything rivals some $600-$800+ tvs. Like I said I didn’t get this tv to game so I can’t say one way or another if it’s a good gaming tv. What I can say is a lot of people don’t even have the technology (4k player/ 4k discs) to make this tv look as good as it can. I highly recommend this for the price. Thanks Highsense for producing a quality product, with premium features, at a budget price!!! Highly recommend!!!!

Prev rated 5 stars but Hisense customer service is horrible! Stopped working after less than 2 yrs!
By A Customer on Reviewed in the United States on October 3, 2024
Stopped working after less than 2 years and not because of power issues, since I have a 1500va UPS with voltage regulation. I needed to replace the TCON board and the original model board was out of stock everywhere and there was a different model number TCON board available some places but I didn't know if it was compatible with my TV. It took MONTHS of emails, to simply get the answer to the question if I have to replace the tcon board with the exact same part number (which is out of stock everywhere) or can I use the newer model tcon board? FYI - Hisense doesn't sell (maybe never did) the tcon board for this set. I kept emailing them with that one question and each time they replied not answering it. Instead it was we don't service TVs or If you want parts go to Encompass or here are a list of factory authorized repair people, etc. on and on. I kept telling them I don't want them to repair the TV or sell me a part, I just wanted to know if I had to replace the tcon board with the exact same model number or could I replace it with the newer model tcon board. After MONTHS of emails (and not having a working TV), I emailed them and told them if they didn't answer my email, I would write a postal letter of complaint to David Gold, President/CEO of Hisense and after that, they replied I could use the newer tcon board. A TV that stopped working less than 2 years after I purchased it new, directly from Amazon and being without the TV for MONTHS because of having to repeatedly email them. BTW, I had a Hisense factory authorized repair person come out and he said the problem is the tcon board and he can easily replace it, but he would take no responsibility if the new tcon board damaged the TV, because he too, couldn't get an answer from Hisense about being able to replace the tcon board with the newer model and the old model tcon is out of stock everywhere. Yes, it was a good price and great picture. But I guess, from the reviews, that it is common they don't last very long and the reviews were right, the Hisense customer service is awful. Thank heaven I have a smaller TV in the kitchen or because of Hisense's terrible customer service, I would have been without a TV for MONTHS. And this wasn't the small, inexpensive model, it is the 75" which cost almost a thousand dollars. BTW, it is a google TV and with other google TVs my friends have, that are about the same age, the Hisense has very few apps that are compatible with it. You would have to be nuts to buy Hisense.
