I love this watch!
By Tracy Snead on Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2021
I have been purchasing Mobovi Tic Watches for quite awhile now. My biggest complaint was how large the face of the watch was on my wrist. I really like this watch on my wrist. I don't feel that it is as big and bulky as the other Tic Watches that I have purchased. Here are some comments on what they advertise. 1. Battery Life - if you don't want to use the battery saver - 5 days. If using the battery saver option you can get the 7-10 days out of a charge. Even the 5 days is better than the other Tic Watches I have purchased so I thought this was an improvement. 2. Sensors - I really enjoyed the various things this watch will do. I went to my Doctor and while they were taking my vitals, I checked my watch. The temperature was .2 degrees off of the temp they took, the SpO2 was dead on, the heart rate was on as well. Overall, everything seems to work as it should. I have Afib and this watch does show when my heart is in a funk and how often which is beneficial when I go see my Cardiologist. The doctor's office was impressed with this watch as well and what it measured. 3. Sleep - I like this component and it allows me to see what kind of sleep I am getting at night. 4. Notifications - just like my other smart watches. The only thing I didn't know was that it has its own system and will not show up as connected to your phone even when it is. I thought this was an issue until I did a little research and found this is how the watch is designed. Please advertise this so that others know it has its own operating system. 5. Faces - I love this about Tic Watches 6. Set up was easy and very quick. 7. Swim - I did use it in a pool and there were no issues. 8. Recording steps - much better than any other Tic Watch. It was more accurate. I really liked how it reminds me to get up and move, which I have been utilizing. 9. Appearance - looks like an Apple Watch without the price tag. 10. Price - Extremely reasonable. More cost effective than the other watches with more bang for your buck Overall, I highly recommend this watch and I do know that a few people that I have talked to about it are going to look into them for themselves. I also like how my leather band from previous Tic Watches fits this watch as well, so if I am doing sporty things I can wear the silicon band but can dress it up with the leather band as well. I'm impressed and will continue to wear this watch.

Not Worth the Money
By Jason Earl on Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2021
A few months ago I gave my trusty Garmin Forerunner 35 to my father-in-law. He had suffered a heart attack and he needed a watch with a heart rate monitor. I knew that the Garmin watches heart rate monitor was bomb-proof, and I was interested in trying something else. I have a friend with a much fancier Mobvoi watch, and I thought that perhaps the TicWatch GTH would be worth a shot. I had heard that their software didn't work very well, but it said it integrated with Google Fit, and that would meet my minimum requirements. The watch itself looks pretty good, and it seemed solid. At first I was encouraged. However, after a few days it became clear the the heart rate sensor was terrible. It sort of works. Most of the time it registered a heart rate precisely where I expected it to be. However, whenever it got a bit confused instead of registering no heart rate it would instead jump to a ridiculous number. So every time the watch shifted on my wrist the watch would say that I was about to experience a heart attack. I would go for a leisurely walk and my watch would say that my heart rate had been over 190 for 30 minutes. It was so consistently bad that I actually worried about my heart. However, I borrowed my wife's fit bit (and my old Garmin) and verified that TicWatch was just bonkers. The sleep function was similarly broken. I lost track of how many times my watch said that I was still asleep when I was actually driving on the freeway at 75 MPH. I am pretty relaxed when I drive, but not that relaxed. Don't even get me started on the battery life. Mobvoi advertises 7 days of battery life, but I could barely get 2 with a brand new watch. I suspect that they did their testing by turning the brightness down so low that you can't read it outside and then turning off the tilt to wake feature that makes it possible to turn on the watch without pushing a button. Mobvoi's application was terrible, and the website was worse. The Google Fit integration only actually moved my information over about 25% of the time, but even still it was better than Mobvoi's application with all of the data. The charger cord only works when I bend it a certain way and then put something on top of it to hold it in position. Plus, the cheap pin on the watch strap broke. Finally, precisely 60 days after I purchased the watch it died. The screen is completely scrambled, and refuses to be reset. I tried to send it back in to Mobvoi and they told me that they only offer 30 day returns. I could send it in for warranty repair, but honestly I don't want this watch anymore. I am going to do what I should have done in the first place. A brand-new Garmin Forerunner 35 is about $5 more than what I paid for this watch. The Garmin has a heart rate monitor that works, and built in GPS so that I can go running without my phone. The Mobvoi TicWatch GTH looks marginally better on paper, but in reality it isn't even in the same league.
