It does everything I expected and more!

This tv is clean! The ambient mode and full array of LED backlight makes it really bright! There is no dimming from the side angles. This tv actually has good sounding speakers! There was bass and even intelligent audio as in the audio came from the specific area of the screen that the picture was from, for instance if the video is displayed in the corner of a tv guide then it will come from that corner. The apps are incredible. Samsung TV Plus has a lot of free programming available, and I found some other great apps. I was able to get a Steam app (for computer video games) and it easily connected to my computer on the same network and I was able to play pc games on my tv with ease! Added Spotify, Amazon Prime and Netflix (both of which have their own buttons on the remote). It even has multi-viewing mode, where I can split the screen and have two different things on the screen at once, for example television on one side of the screen and gaming or second app, or mobile mirroring on the other side of the screen. Some apps are not compatible with this feature I have noticed. Speaking of remote, the remote included fits consolidates a lot into its slim design, and it even said it paired with my Playstation 3 automatically, which I have yet to try out. Its the first remote I've had with voice included in it and now they have included the option for Alexa and Google Assistant, other than the default Bixby, I am able to control and search items with my voice. I chose the Google Assistant as I use most of the Google Suite, like Calendar and Gmail and Keep. I asked it what my schedule looked like for tomorrow and it gave me a run down of all my Calendar entries. I'll have to see what it does with Gmail. It does look up specific movies and media from various sources and presents them for purchase or other viewing. I have only had this tv for about 5 days but I love the look, the sound, the interactivity, the picture, the network capability is amazing. I was tempted to go 8k but this will do for now, very pleased.

Both the original and replacement units I received were defective
By Stephen Strange on Reviewed in the United States on April 11, 2021
In general, I'm happy with this TV. Controls work well, apps work well, picture quality is generally quite good. However, the original and the replacement units I've received were defective. I guess I'll try one more time for a third unit. If the third one is no good, I will pursue a refund. If it is good, I'll come back here and adjust my rating. But I want folks to be forewarned about the quality control on these units -- you may be in for quite a hassle. Maybe I was just very unlucky. The details: On the first unit, there was a spot in the lower right that was an upside-down reddish-purple triangle (see attached close-up photo). Not noticeable much of the time, but when there was a white background, it was obvious. The second unit has this large shading pattern in the lower half of the screen, especially noticeable when your eye level is higher than the unit (see second photo). Update: I got the third unit. It has the same defect as the first -- a small purplish upside-down triangle pattern. I decided to keep the TV, mainly out of exhaustion with the whole ordeal. I usually don't notice it during normal TV watching. 2nd Update: Here we are almost 3 years later, and the TV has completely died. It shut itself off while we were watching, and it went into a restart loop where the QLED text pops up for less than a second, then it powers off and back on again, forever. Tried unplugging and all the typical things to revive it. A quick internet search tells me that lots of people have had their Samsing TVs die this way, about 3 years in. Unfortunately, the warranty is 1 year. I am dropping this from 2 stars to 1.
