A great, unknown controller with a few caveats
By Chris on Reviewed in the United States on October 10, 2020
Where did this little gem of a controller come from? And how come I’ve never heard of this company before? I saw this while randomly searching for pc game controllers, and decided to take a chance on it. Glad I did. It’s great. It does loosely resemble an Xbox Elite controller. There are four buttons/paddles on the back, and the layout and shape are Xbox-like. The analog sticks can be swapped out with taller ones, and rather than use magnets, these attach by screwing them in. There is a disc style d-pad that actually feels pretty good, but it can’t be removed and replaced with a cross like the Xbox Elite. The analog sticks feel and work very well, with little to no noticeable dead zone, and the triggers have incredibly smooth action and feel very close to the Xbox One controllers. There are no trigger stops on this controller, however. The back buttons can be remapped with the small switches shown in the photograph. R4 and L4 can only be mapped to the face buttons, though, and RS and LS can only be mapped to the triggers, bumpers or analog sticks. Kind of a bummer that you can’t map any buttons to any of the rear triggers. The controller works via Bluetooth, a 2.4 ghz connection (with a dongle) or wired. Bluetooth ONLY works in Android, not pc. The controller even has a small slit on the battery compartment to store the dongle so it won’t get lost. Performance with this controller is great. I used a Mayflash-S converter, put in the dongle, and was playing Modern Warfare on my PS4 without issue. Wired performance was even better. It uses 2 AA batteries. Overall, very impressed. I recommend.

Was great for only a year

I loved the shape, form, and placement of the buttons and paddles on this controller. One of my favorites I've ever had to be honest. I bought this for effeciency in Rocket League which it helped me for comfort. This was great for Forza Horizon 5 touge drifting. This was great for American Truck Simulator and quick reactions while also being able to use quick basic controls. The problem I had is in roughly a years time this controller developed stick drift on the left analog, I treated this thing very nicely. Never dropped, never slammed, kept it clean. But I get it these parts still wear out. I took the controller apart to view the board and it had wet damage on the boards in multiple locations, which again I kept this thing very clean, and only dry cleaned it never with liquids. The REASON I give a 1 star review is because I emailed Bionik support to ask if I could buy the parts needed to replace and fix my controller to continue using, vs paying full price for a controller that is bound to break again and according to recent reviews has been often. I emailed them on October 1st asking this simple question, with an automated confirmation email. It is now October 11th and I haven't heard a yes, no, maybe, or **** you from them. 1 star for lack of quality, not answering customer support emails, and seemingly not assisted in sending part repairs. Thank you for considering the future with this controller, you can expect 5 months to a year before you need to replace the entire controller again.
