Bought this 2 years ago for 1294$ NEW the item was labeled like new "with damaged package due to handling" they were selling multiple of these at this price i think a truck or shipper damaged several boxes- for this price 2 years AGO I am a happy camper. Can't believe how many people came into my house asking if my projector was a TV. It was the latest tech back then. 2 years later this is still pretty cool but as huge ultra crystal UHD tvs roll out- the just standard 4k is just not good enough. I would rather have a 800$ 100 inch TV. Also the OS is lagggy- & slow- it could be worse (Vizio👎) but it's definitely not a Sony. Overall super cool. Brightness for the price point is not cutting it but for what I paid I'm happy.

Good while it lasted

It’s a cool product, and I specifically went with this over other models because it has an ATSC tuner, which is great. We enjoyed it for three weeks. Then the day before the Super Bowl, the picture went out. The sound still works, but the image is a black glow. We can’t even access settings or menus. Hopefully the warranty process is smooth, but quite frankly, a product that sells for thousands of dollars needs to be of better quality. UPDATE: The total turnaround time for the repair, with shipping, was a week and a half. The repaired device worked well for two days until we started experiencing startup problems at least once or twice per day. This time, however, the startup problems could be solved by unplugging the power and restarting. Still not acceptable. A little internet research said that turning off HDMI-CEC would fix the startup problem, so we went ahead and turned that off. It seems to be functioning normally now, but as mentioned originally, these are all quality problems that an expensive piece of equipment shouldn’t have. SOUND: Samsung focuses much of their advertising on how great the audio is. By design, it’s basically a soundbar bolted to the front of the device, which is an ideal layout. While the sound certainly isn’t bad, it’s worth noting that you cannot add a subwoofer without completely excluding the projector speakers and replacing them with externals. This is a frustrating oversight from what is supposed to be one of the world’s top technology companies.
