Almost Perfect (for about 26 months)*
By Stas on Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2021
I've had these for just a couple days, so I can't comment on battery life or long-term reliability (though I have no reason to doubt either). This is the third pair of wireless buds I've used in the past 4 months. I started with the Jabra Active 75t, which were fantastic until the left bud stopped producing sound for no apparent reason. I went to Samsung Buds+, which are very well reviewed for all-around performance, but they didn't sound nearly as good as the Jabras and were not a great fit for my ear regardless of which tips/wings I tried. The T5 II Sports have been absolutely fantastic so far and I'm happy to be done with my earbud shopping for the foreseeable future. These don't have ANC, but passive noise cancellation is exceptional due to Klipsch's oval tip design and the crazy amount of sizes they provide with the buds (6 different size variants, plus 1 pair of foam tips). Lack of ANC on board probably leads to better battery life and definitely makes the buds less bulky and lighter than most, leading to added comfort. The wings that come with the sport version add incredible stability. I can't shake these out of my ears even if I try. There are three different size variants for the wings, so again, you'll likely find one that fits your ear very well (if not perfectly). That's another issue I had with the Samsung Buds+ - their wings didn't add any stability and led to ear fatigue.Aside from comfort/fit, the absolute best feature on these is the sound. I'm not an audiophile and judging by how much I enjoyed the Jabras, I probably prefer a more bass-heavy sound. That said, the T5 IIs sound incredible and offer customization via the app to cover a broad range of audio. Bass is punchy without being overpowering and everything sounds really great, even at high volumes. No harshness like I experienced with the Samsung Buds+ when I was trying to get more bass out of them for workouts. Also, the "Podcast" pre-set on the Klipsch App equalizer actually makes podcasts sound really good. Its nice to have an app deliver on a pre-set like that.I appreciate what Klipsch has done to make their case stand out. A complete dust/water-proof setting on both the earbuds AND the case is a unique feature. Throwing water absorption into the case is also pretty cool. However, it does make the case bulkier than most. The clasp/latch on the case also gets a little bit annoying when compared to the snappy, easy access you get from most ear bud cases today. These are very minor complaints, but they are worth pointing out. The other issue that's been well-reported is that the wing tips often have to be adjusted before putting the buds back into the case so that each bud gets good contact. Again, a minor annoyance, but its something that will almost certainly happen if you buy these and use the wing tips (which are worth it for the stability/comfort that they add, but if you don't want to use them, just buy the regular T5 IIs and avoid this issue altogether).I've seen some complaints out there about the responsiveness of the physical buttons on each ear bud. I haven't had any issue and I much prefer them to touch controls on some buds out there. Transparency/hear-through mode is fine, and adjustable. Again, a very convenient feature and one that should be standard at this price point. I've also used these for several calls and everyone has said that I sound very clear.Overall, the biggest questions with any pair of ear buds is how do they sound and how do they fit. Klipsch has really knocked it out of the park with these on both fronts. If I could, I'd go about 4.8/5, but they've more than earned the round up to 5/5 stars. I really look forward to heavy usage of these buds.*Maybe this is the shelf life on a good set of ear buds. After about 26 months of pretty steady use for workouts, travel, and some chores outside and around the house, the right bud audibly shorted out and will no longer charge or turn on. Good run while they lasted. Quality stayed high all the way till the end. RIP, buds.

Have owned three pairs, right bud always dies hours earlier then left, and the ceases to work at all

Sound comparable to other headphones within the price range, however they're very good at noise canceling. I also love how they fit-- they feel very natural and secure, without feeling too huge and clunky like a lot of wireless headphones. Good fit for distance running. The first pair I ordered arrived with one bud charged, the other completely dead, which seemed to cause some issues when pairing with my phone. Bummed because on the first wear, I lost 60% battery in the right bud within a 2 minute span. I left them both to charge overnight, and when I checked the next day, the right bud was only at 70% charge. Tried to make do with the 70%, but the earbud died after a few minutes (maybe less than 10?) of using it. Was not able to get it to work again. Contacted the merchant who sent me another pair.Second pair arrived the same way (left bud charged, right not). Eventually was able to get the right bud charged fully and they worked pretty well for a couple months, but of course the right bud suddenly started to rapidly lose power after a few minutes of use (maybe 20-30). When the buds are not in my ears, they are in the fully charged charging/storage box. *Always.* As of today, the right bud does not work at all-- holds no charge, or if it does, it dies after 2 minutes of "use."Pretty frustrated at this point. I just want my money back so I can get something that will work for more than a couple months.Edit:Wanted to add, had been negotiating with Klipsch directly for three weeks trying to get a replacement bud. Unsurprisingly, the bud they sent me is defective :) Do not recommend.
