Honest Review - 1 Month In. (w/ 1 year update)
By Adam Long on Reviewed in the United States on December 26, 2021
I will start by saying the original pair I got myself was broken. The left earbud didn't maintain the battery at all. I won't be factoring that into my review at all because the customer service was EXCEPTIONAL and I will 100% be buying from Klipsch in the future. I received new earbuds and after making sure they work sent the defective ones back.I'm not a poet nor an author so I'll stick with bullet pointing the important things.-Sound Quality: Changed my life, originally I had Airpod Pros and some similar earbuds and while they sounded pretty good nothing has beat these so far. Notably the bass, you can REALLY feel it with these earbuds.-Noise Cancellation: They don't have active noise canceling however they do a solid job at keeping other noise out when you want it out. For when you wish to talk to others there is a transparency mode allowing you to hear your surroundings. It isn't top-tier quality, but good enough for me and what I require.-Battery Life: Earbuds lasted 6 hours without giving me a low battery warning. The case allowed for about 5-6 recharges I'd guess. Extremely good battery life.-McLaren Edition Specific: As a McLaren fan and racer myself the small details such as the history book and stickers that come in the box are quite nice. They really make it feel like a special experience.-The case itself: I like its design, light carbon-fiber look as well as the McLaren feeling with it. I will say however it is on the big side, while not affecting me it will matter to some. To estimate it is about 1" x 2" x 1".-Earbuds themselves: They come with modular buds and ear holders (rubber pieces that assist in keeping the bud in your ear not sure what to call them). This allows for small & big ears to have a comfortable experience, I find myself using what comes with them, but will be experimenting with them soon. With the correct size they will not come out, I tried shaking my head and jumping and falling and all sorts of activities to no avail. I doubt they will ever come out unintentionally.-Mic: Good quality, not a Shure mic by far, but definitely clear and definitive for the person on the other side.-Extended Use: I will mention that over time it is possible to scratch the case so you may want to be careful about it. Another mention is when listening for 5ish hours they can be itchy at times. Not a massive concern, but something I'd mention.-Machine work: Something I found is they passed my test for ear protection in the woodshop. So if you ever need ear protection these aren't bad. I personally wouldn't use them as sawdust WILL get in somehow as it always does but a worthy mention. In summary: Amazing earbuds with top-tier sound quality. They might be out of your budget, worth the price, but not the best bang for your buck (if you catch my drift). And customer service is amazing to work with, so don't worry about the warranty going south. 9/10 will recommend.1 Year Update:I stand by my sound quality notes. Absolutely amazing. What I did find with in a year is that the battery life has exceeded 8 hours (idk what past self me said) and they charge fast! Quality is exceptional and I haven't had any issues yet.. besides...The downside I didn't see coming... Software.Sometimes the earbuds will turn off at random and re-turn back on. Other times they will glitch out and brick themselves. I did find the cause though. It has to do with location which I can only assume relates to a specific signal frequency being used in that area. I'm unsure if this is only my device or a model-wide issue. If you do have this issue, let the earbuds drain for 48 hours and re-plug them in. Try using them in a different location. On my university campus they don't like the first floor of the library & recently my dorm room so it really depends.Secondly, the app can be a little frustrating sometimes. Often I find the earbuds not wanting to pair with my phone (iPhone SE 2 on current OS). I finally got it to work, but it took some patience.Overall I believe taking these software glitches into consideration these headphones are an amazing edition to the market. Plus I love McLaren regardless of their F1 performance this season :/

Poor battery health and faulty earbud
By Alex M. on Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2024
I ordered this one since the original was no longer available. The original was great. good battery life (8+hrs per charge), wonderful sound, comfortable and easy to use. Eventually they ended up breaking or having a lower battery life per charge as expected after several years of heavy use. I tried to find them and found this version was the only one available that had the same fit. Out of the box (I charged and used two months after ordering when the original finally gave up so couldn’t return) the right earbud never accepted a full charge and was virtually useless, the silicon covers never stayed on the ear pieces correctly (ended up using the ones from the original) and would fall out/not sit correctly and the one working earbud didn’t have the same battery life expectancy compared to the original. I must say that for the increased price point it was definitely not worth the purchase for this edition and wish I had ordered several more of the original when they were available. One good point is the sound quality is still great, albeit mono speaker which makes some tracks less enjoyable to listen to.
