This beasts almost every headset I've ever had.

The review for this product first needs some backstory. This is not an advertisement for another product, rather what made me decide to purchase this headset in particular. Please bear with me. I have had many different headsets in the past, ranging from $20 to as high as $120. I am not an audiphile so I never really needed to go any further than that. The two products I've purchased that admittedly stand out are the HyperX Cloud headset, and the HyperX Cloud Revolver S headset. The Revolver S headset was by far the nicest one I've ever owned, until now. Above all else, it had serious build quality. Not only did it have a strong metal headband, but it was also an incredibly comfortable fit- I especially liked how the actual earphones themselves basically suctioned to your head. You were essentially immersed in whatever it was you were listening to/playing. These do the same, yet they don't make your ears sweat. Unfortunately due to severe anger problems and carelessness, I can no longer use either of those headsets. Towards the latter part of last year, I was looking for a headset that has the same BUILD QUALITY as the aforementioned. After searching quite a bit through Amazon, I landed on this product for a few reasons. 1St of all, the price point was very attractive: it was on sale for $50. I also saw that the headband of this headset is made of metal rather than plastic. Due to experience as well as negative reviews about plastic headbands, I knew that this one being metal instantly set it apart from the vast majority of competitors. It was a very difficult choice to pull the trigger since at that time this headset barely had any reviews or ratings yet. I didn't know whether I would be satisfied or if this was going to be a VERY bad choice. Considering the price at the time of purchase was less than half of what I paid for the Resolver S, it was a chance well worth taking, and I am happy I did. Sound quality is on par with most headsets in the ~$100 range, but it's not something I would recommend to an audiophile. For gaming however this headset has so far been GREAT. Directionality has netted me quite a few kills/wins in Valorant that other people were unable to hear coming. There is an optional "Pro Sound Effects Software" that I have not installed on my PC as I feel quite strongly there really is no need for it since I am primarily a gamer. Music has a decent amount of bass, the highs and lows seem to be fairly balanced for default configuration. I like listening to music in these. I especially like gaming in these. Noise cancellation was only given a 3 star rating because I cannot tell how good they are in this aspect. When I am gaming and communicating to other people online, I am typically not in even a slightly noisy environment. My room is very quiet. Do not let that alone deter you from purchasing this product. If you are on the fence because of the seemingly unknown brand name, sound quality, or the price point, I can confidently recommend to at least take a chance on these. Please keep in mind, this review comes after only just under 3 months of owning them. If I have any pertinent issues in the coming months with this headset, I will be sure to update this review.

nice while it lasted (READ EDITS)

These headphones are AMAZING! Super good quality (better than my turtle beaches) and the microphone sounds CRYSTAL CLEAR! So comfortable and it forms around any head shape! The RGB is super pretty though I wish you could customize it. Other than that, JUST GET THEM!!!! EDIT (11/21/2020): Wow. My first review was not accounted for long term use and I wish I could've waited before posting it. After a few short months since buying these headphones, I've already come to 3 issues, mainly with the wire itself. 1. The wire is NOT stable and constantly lips in and out on the headset. So much so that I had to superglue the wire back to the headset itself. 2. The fabric wire cover on top of the rubber wire SLIPPED off the wire and there's no possible way to get it back on. It slid to the bottom of the headset volume controller. 3. THE TWISTY WIRE. I hate it so so much and it is truly one of the most annoying things a headset can do. The wire constantly twists and wraps around itself ALL THE TIME. So much so that it takes off almost a foot of cord. Overall, it may be good for the price considering what it has to offer, and I agree. It was amazing while it lasted. Thankfully, the sound and microphone are still working great. However, I am quite disappointed in the quality of the wire materials. If you want a longer-lasting headset, I'd consider other options. EDIT (12/9/2020) UNBELIEVABLE. I can't write how angry I am at this product. I was in the middle of working, and then all of a sudden the mic and the headset just stopped working. I can hear static when I try to talk to people. I thought the durability would've lasted me AT LEAST a year, but it completely stopped working after 3 months. I contacted Edifier support telling them all my problems with the headset and they said they can’t do anything for me, even though I’m “protected” under their 2 YEAR warranty. Never buying Edifier again.
