How to get 4K UHD on Xbox one X
By Alberto Valenzuela on Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2020
Let me be straight and forward... great project for the price I got it for. However there was some technical difficulties, as I got this projector to hook up to my Xbox one x. My issue was I was hooking the Xbox to a receiver for surround, and the receiver to projector. Okay as image quality goes great and sharp image, but I couldn’t get 4K UHD to work on the Xbox all it said was not supported and was only putting out 1080. So I had to mess with it, finally figuring it out I had to get a good HDMI cable and hook the Xbox one x to the projector to get 4K UHD. Now my issue is the receiver wasn’t hooked up and no surround. But as the Xbox goes sound can still go out a different way which I hook a optical sound cable to the receiver and boom sound came out. So TWO things happened, HDMI cable between Xbox and projector for 4K UHD. As well optical sound cable to Xbox and receiver for sound.Hope this is very helpful for anyone having the same problem.Besides that having everything hooked up and image quality just the way I want it. This projector is the way to go! Great movies and awesome gaming!

How bright is this projector (by the numbers)
By Daniel Berger on Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2021
From 102" on a white wall, I set the zoom on the Optoma HD39HDR to create a 59" x 34" screen. I displayed a white image that resulted in an average reading of 1240 lux or 1605 lumen (1240 lux x 13.93 sq ft x 0.09290304) The rating of 3 is because the description claims the brightness to be 4000 lumen. I bought the projector based on the advertised brightness value so, having tested it, will be returning it. The picture quality is good, it is just not as bright as advertised.

Brightest, clearest picture out there

Great picture, and I've tried a bunch of these. Really bright and clear. The bad things about this unit are the lack of casting ability and the lack of horizontal keystone correction. Otherwise would have gotten 5 stars.
Definitely worth it

At first seemed like a lot of money but I have to say it's definetly worth it. We now have a home cinema. With the right speaker and plugged to a Roku 4K and the resolution is pretty amazing. Granted its not TRUE 4k UHD. But it's pretty much up there picture wise. You'd need to be really nit-picky to find an issue. The only with that is missing is the HDMI-CEC so you don't need more than one remote at a time.

Great projector, but do check your room dimensions

Used for main entertainment room. Nice bright video. I chose this model specifically because of the short throw distance without the short throw lens.Have not tried HDR as my components are not currently all compatible.Only complaint is the default picture and color options aren't great.
