Reliable and Accurate Motion Detection – A Must-Have for Home Security!

The Ring Alarm Motion Detector has been a fantastic addition to my home security system. It’s incredibly reliable and accurate, providing peace of mind by detecting motion in and around my home with ease. The setup was straightforward, and it synced perfectly with my Ring Alarm system.What I really appreciate is how sensitive yet customizable it is. I can adjust the settings to suit my needs—whether I need more or less sensitivity in certain areas, the Ring app makes it easy to configure. I also love the pet-friendly feature—it detects human motion while avoiding false alarms from pets, which is a big plus for pet owners.The battery life has been great, and I haven’t had to change the batteries yet. The motion detection range is perfect for my space, and I’ve been impressed with how quickly the alerts come through on my phone when motion is detected. It’s also nice that the design is discreet, fitting seamlessly into my home’s decor.Overall, I highly recommend the Ring Alarm Motion Detector to anyone looking to enhance their home security. Very poor Quality Control, messy support

I so far tests 4 of these units and my experience has been disappointing. Here is what happened:Unit #1Worked as described since until now. No issues.Unit #2Worked as described for a few weeks then I noticed that although no errors were being displayed and that the unit was supposedly operational, in reality no motion events were being produced at all. After hours long conversations and multiple calls with customer support, Ring finally admitted the unit was faulty and offered a replacement. The replacement never arrived, so I moved to purchase another unitUnit #3I got this as a replacement for #2, however this unit never worked at all. It would connect to the Ring network and then immediately disconnect with an error. I tried a few times, then decided to send it back asking Amazon for a replacementUnit #4This was the replacement for #3, which was a replacement for #2. So far it is working fine.As you can see, 2 out of 4 units were defective. Moreover, one of them was failing silently, with no indication whatsoever (aren't you supposed to rely on a security system?). Finally, support promised to send a replacement (they didn't) and when I called to enquire they promised to contact their shipping department and update me with an e-mail right after (no e-mail ever received).For the above reasons, I am giving 3 stars to this sensor. I was tempted to give less.
