Beat solo 3

Stylish, Powerful, and Long-Lasting — Perfect for Music Lovers I’ve been using the Beats Solo3 Wireless (Red) for a few weeks now, and honestly, I’m really impressed. Right out of the box, they look super sleek — the red color pops and gives it a bold, clean look. The build feels sturdy but lightweight, and the folding design makes them easy to toss into my bag when I’m on the go. Setup was insanely easy, especially since I’m an iPhone user. Thanks to the Apple W1 chip, they paired instantly — just opened the case near my phone, and it was connected in seconds. No fuss at all. The Bluetooth connection is also strong. I can walk around my apartment without losing signal. The sound quality is exactly what you’d expect from Beats — deep, powerful bass and clear highs. These are perfect for hip-hop, EDM, and pop, but I also noticed they handle podcasts and calls well. The built-in microphone works great for phone calls or voice messages, and I didn’t have to repeat myself once. Where these really shine is the battery life. I’ve used them for several days in a row and haven’t even needed to recharge yet. The claim of 40 hours is real. And even when the battery runs low, that Fast Fuel feature gives me about 3 hours of playback from just a quick 5-minute charge — super convenient when I’m in a rush. If I had to point out one downside, I’d say they can feel a little tight on the ears after a long time, especially if you wear glasses like I do. They’re not noise-canceling, but the passive isolation is still pretty good. Overall, I’m very happy with these. They sound amazing, last forever on one charge, and look great. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quality pair of wireless headphones — especially if you’re in the Apple ecosystem.

Worked great…until they didn’t only 1.5 years later

Had I written this review within the first year of purchase, I would have given these 5 stars. Had they died on me completely without any way to use, I would have given them 1 star. But I am writing this review 1.5 years past purchase following light but regular use, approximately 1-2 hours 1-2 days a week and giving these headphones a 2 star review for the following reason: I love the sound, the bluetooth works flawlessly, they are more comfortable on my ears than are within-ear buds, and I can use them wirelessly, unlike my other over or on ear headphones. But as if two weeks ago, even after following multiple resets, the battery drains completely down within a few hours of the unit being powered off. They seem to hold a charge just fine wirelessly once powered up, but I now must either set aside 1-2 hours to power them up up before using wirelessly or use a cable I bought separately, along with a dongle that allows me to use the headphones corded and tethered to either my phone or ipad. With this workaround I think I’ll wait another few years before looking into getting the battery replaced, since out of principle I don’t think you should have to pay extra for a plan to be able to pay a reasonable amount instead of $30 more to replace a battery that fails after less than 2 years of light use, especially when I have seen other reviews from customers who replaced their battery only to have it drain soon after replacement.
