ModMic Noise-Cancelling Microphone

I bought this mic 2 weeks ago and tried giving it a chance but I can't. It's just that bad. To start, I positioned the mic as far to the edge of my headphones as possible and the mic is still not long enough to reach. The mic is very quiet because of this and already makes it 1 step behind a $15 headset. The quality is also surprisingly bad. Noticeable hissing and low volume like I said before. Another review said the sound card add-on fixes the sound quality but I shouldn't have to purchase an add-on to have a product work as intended. The adhesive that connects the mic to the headphones is cheap and has come off multiple times. I have the hd6xx which has a mesh instead of a solid piece so this is kind of excusable. Regardless, I would hope they would design the mic with all headphone types in mind. The "Magnetic Clasp System" is also terrible. In theory, it lets you move the mic up for when you are not using but in reality, it feels extremely unpolished and cheap and leads to further problems that I will explain later. The cable is also too short, for people with a small desk you should be fine but I have my PC a couple of feet away from me and the cable is constantly being tugged. If I just stand up or slightly move away the entire mic falls off due to the "Magnetic Clasp System" Lastly, the "Instant Quiet". It's a mute switch on the cable like many other headphones like the hyperx cloud and razer kraken. Even something as simple as a mute switch they completely butcher. The button has no tactility and you can barely tell if the mic is muted while using it. It doesn't even fully go to 1 side so it's kind of stuck in the middle most of the time. It's completely made of plastic and feels extremely cheap. This headphone has nothing going for it. Literally, everything about it is terrible. I don't know how this thing has the reviews that it has. I'm disappointed but mostly upset that I wasted $50 on this garbage. Please, do not buy this mic.
