Great buy for those on a budget!

For reference, I own the 20-60x60 Gosky scope from several years ago that is going for about $100 now. I used the old scope to compare against this new and improved scope. I think Gosky is a great optics company for someone on a budget like myself. I actually own a pair of the binoculars for my wife that exceeded my expectations for the money. I compared them to my Bushnell’s, and they kept up in every category. Pros: More clarity from close and long range. The new scope was much clearer from the 400-yard test I did. The image was also a little brighter as well. The focus dial has been improved which is actually really nice. If you look at the photos Gosky posted there are 2 sections on the focus wheel. One for getting close to focused and one for getting what I call detail focused. It’s actually a really cool feature. You can use one dial for dramatic focus assuming you are way out of focus then use the detail focus wheel to get a really clear view without shaking the scope because the wheel spins so smoothly. The eyepiece has been enlarged. At first, I was unsure that I like this but during testing it turned out to be one of the key advantages over the older scope. I use mine for hunting and shooting at the range, the wider eyepiece allows for less strain on the eye assuming you will be glassing for long periods at a time. It was also easier to look through, you did not have to take a lot of time to align your eye with the object being scoped. This was a huge improvement. The eye piece twists out to extend like the old one which is a great feature. The zoom knob works smoothly as it should. The lateral side to side scope adjustment also works well and rotates very smoothly. The new smartphone attachment is really nice and a huge upgrade from their last version. I don’t use the retractable sunshade/rain guard all that much, but it is a nice feature to have just in case. The carrying case was beefed up and you can actually leave it on while glassing as there is a zipper on the bottom that would open up to allow attachment to a tripod mount. The new scope outperformed the older one in every way other than a couple of key cons. Cons: The weight: this new scope was a lot heavier than the older one. I weighed the old one at 2 pounds 8 ounces. The new scope is 3 pounds 13 ounces. For someone that backpack with their scope this is a big difference. The lens cover: The new lens cover seems nice at first, but this needs to be improved. It stays on the scope great, the hard part is getting it off the scope. It is almost suctioned to the scope. I actually tied a little paracord loop on the lens cover where they left a hole on the lens cover and it pulls off a little easier now. They also did not include a leash like they do with the older ones. Overall the new scope is a huge improvement and I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for something tough and reliable at this price point.

Decent spotter scoop.

The scope was good quality but the full size tripod was flimsy and it shook easily to jar the focus. I returned mine because of these issue.
