Compact, High Quality Feel, LOTS of Ports :)

I needed another USB C Hub and I've purchased TOTU products before because of the quality look and feel and they just ALWAYS work the way they're supposed to. I'm running 2 different laptops at any given time, A MacBook Pro & an HP Laptop. As a bare minimum, I needed 2 HDMI ports, an ethernet port and at least 2 High Speed USB ports as well. This fit the bill perfectly for my needs. Once I hooked up the monitors, and powered the hub up, everything comes up in a matter of seconds. Both my MacBook Pro as well as my HP Laptop will need to be hooked up to this USB C hub on any given day, depending on what I have to do that particular day. This works flawlessly with both of the laptops. There is more desktop extender / mirroring capability with my HP laptop, but that is because of the Windows vs MacOS environments difference. Hopefully Apple will enhance the mirroring capability of the Macs in their next OS update. All of the connections are Tight and the feel of the hub is Definitely Quality. It looks professional, feels professional and works perfectly the way it's supposed to. I love it when I buy a product that works the way it's promised to work and looks as good or better than the pictures. :) I LOVE This Hub! Shout out to TOTU Again !! :) This has every port I could possibly need in the future -- has a perfect length dongle cord to stay out of my way -- allows me to charge my laptop at Full Capacity while using it -- and it fits compactly & neatly in my laptop bag. P E R F E C T !! :). Thank You TOTU & Thank You Lemon Vivi for Great Customer Service & getting it to me a day early :) I ordered it Late and I was secretly Hoping that you would get it shipped ASAP :) Thanks Again :)

Erratic work

At the beginning everything worked just fine. I had a speaker connected and the sound would come out fine. Then I bought a new SSD USB-C drive for backups and needed one of the ports from the MacBook Air for the drive since the hub doesn't provide a USB-C data port, just a power input one. So I proceeded to run power through the hub to free the port from the laptop to connect the new SSD drive and that' when things got bad. The hub gets hot and connects and disconnects randomly. The speaker stopped connecting to the Mac and I had to remove the power input (I tried a new Apple power supply just in case it was the power source). So I had to stop running power through the hub and go back to having power directly from the power adapter to the Mac using the only other port since the Hub uses one already. Now I have to disconnect either the hub or the power in order to connect the backup drive which defeats the purpose of having the hub. There are no disconnection issues with this setup but it's not the way it's supposed to be. Also, the cable from the hub to the Mac is too short. I have the Mac on a stand so the hub is floating in the air since it doesn't reach the the port. I had to buy an extension. I had blamed the extension for the disconnects but they continued after removing it.
