Stop Shopping and Buy This!

For years I was either a Sony or Sharp guy with TVs, and only ever buy the higher end models. Vizio has absolutely beaten everyone when it comes to how much you get for the price. Yes, I can buy a TV with a little better picture, but not noticeably better - and this TV will knock the socks off TVs that are twice as expensive(have several friends who are disappointed they paid more for their TV than mine after they watch it) Vizio also has incredible customer service - I now have 3 TV's that I bought to be Smart TVs(none were Vizio) and both manufacturers changed their software and rendered them worthless and no longer able to connect. When Vizio did this, they sent me an email asking to verify my address, then they mailed me a thumbdrive with the new software on it for free - and again without me asking! Then after I updated it, they emailed me again and told me they were shipping me a new remote to make use of the newest features! This was actually my 2nd Vizio purchase, and will never buy another brand again!

I did my research prior to purchasing this unit. The one mistake I made was not purchasing it new (Refurbished). I did purchase an extended warranty but it is nevertheless frustrating because I believe that the unit has some connectivity/technological issues. I've it had it for about a month now and have yet to be able to just walk in a turn it on and begin to watch streaming services w/o having to test/retest internet connectivity, inputs, etc. I'm not tech wiz but honestly this ritual is extremely frustrating. I purchased a VIZIO - SmartCast 5.1 Channel Sound Bar System with 5-1/4" Wireless Subwoofer & Sony UBP-X800M2 4K UHD Home Theater Streaming Blu-Ray Disc Player (UBPX800M2) to accompany this. Unfortunately, I don't feel that I have been able to enjoy the full extent of the experience because of the TV. Don't get me wrong, I believe in the research I did prior to purchase about the TV...I could have purchased a comparable SONY for less via a corporate discount, I looked at TCL but none matched up. I was going to send it back but am prohibited because it was refurbished so lesson learned there. Buy new, buy big and you won't regret it one bit!!!
