Charges phone fast! Needs "pd" wall charger to charge
By DrB on Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2019
**Update** I got a new "power delivery" charger, and it now charges in a reasonable amount of time. Having used this backup for a while now, I can highly recommend it. It has been a life saver, and... The battery lasts for a long time. **Original Review** I ordered this for when my wife is at a craft show all day without any power plugs and needs to keep her phone charged in order to accept credit card purchases. For charging a phone it works great! It arrived with maybe 25-40% battery, I plugged it in to charge (with my qc3 charger), and after 2.5 hours it was still blinking less than 50%. My first thought was... Wtf, the description said it charges back up quickly... My second thought was to check the "instructions". I found out that the instructions are completely useless, so I then googled it. I found the answer - in order to quickly charge this unit (20,000 pd), you need a "pd charger". Seems there is a special usb c high capacity "power delivery" charger that is around 45w for the usb c port. With this additional charger, I can charge this unit faster (supposedly - mine is on order now). I'll update after getting the new charger. Pros: - comes with a charge - comes with a USB C to USB C cable (1-2 feet) - nice design, feels well built. - a button to easily see the units current charge - charged my phone fast - while it doesn't look like it will fit into the included bag, it fits nicely. :) Cons: - requires a specific charger to charge in less than 15-20 hours. - instruction manual is useless

Worked great while it worked
By Kyle Hoffmann on Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2025
Worked great for 5 years of light use. Found it all swollen this morning. For five years this was my travel or go-to charger when I didn't feel like finding an outlet. Granted, I don't travel that much, so realistically it didn't go through that many charge/discharge cycles. This morning I went to use it and the case was all swollen. While it was great while it lasted, I can't help feeling a bit let down. It didn't have a hard life. I take good care of my things. So for it to have failed like this is a bit disappointing.
