Perfect for my 5th wheel
By David Anderson on Reviewed in the United States on July 1, 2020
I recently took possession of a new 5th wheel. It came with a beautiful 4K TV but the player was not Blu-ray. I didn't need or desire any extra features. All I want is something insanely simple to play my disks when being outside just isn't practical.I am in heaven! I removed the unit from the box and it had everything I needed. I hooked it up, turned it on, and inserted a disk. I sat down, turned on the TV, and selected the correct HDMI port, and the unit was already ready for me to hit play.I was very pleased, and it got much better. The quality was great. The screen looked fantastic and have had no issues.I will soon be buying more. My Front 5th wheel bedroom also could use this, and it's very compact. My semi can also use one, and it will be a great addition. My home bedroom also could use one. While I have a full feature Blu-Ray there, my wife is in the beginning stages of dementia, and this unit is very simple to use. If I had younger kids, I could see them benefit from the simplicity of this unit.I plan to buy more, and if you are looking for a unit to use in your RV, you should really look at this one.

Annoying updated Blueray with two main issues from stellar previous models.
By Liquesence on Reviewed in the United States on November 24, 2023
I have a previous version of this Blu ray that I bought years ago, which still works I just needed a second player for a second TV. The previous blu ray is awesome, no issues at all. This newer version, and I've tried two, both have the same problem with using with a USB device: Since the player powers the external drive vi bus power, about 50% of the time even though both the player and the drive are lit (ON), pressing the power button on the remote does not wake the blue ray player up; it stays asleep, and I have have to literally unplug the power supply to essentially reboot it to be able to use it.The main problem with this is that if I have paused a movie from a usb device or external drive and the device goes to "sleep" I can't resume playback from that spot, because it has to be unplugged. Sometimes, the device wakes up and I can watch where I left off, but about half the time it doesn't, so: unplug/replug, power on, and I have to start the movie from the very beginning and scan to the spot. I NEVER had that happen with the previous version. NEVER, and it's annoying. Also, the updated remote seems to no longer have a subtitle button. So, if a movie has default subs I can't find a way to switch them off. Luckily, the remote for the previous device is identical except it has that subtitle button, and works with this device.
