W A R N I N G - - - Magicjack is NOT able to transfer (port) all phone numbers from your carrier to Magicjack but they won't tell, you that in time to keep your phone number. We had the same phone number for 34 years and lost it while waiting for Magicjack to transfer the number. B E A D V I S E D ..... after it happens ... it too late to get your phone number back. Do not .. Repeat .. do NOT believe any of their customer service representatives. They have to maintain a "LRN" (Location Routing Number) in your area in order to transfer (port) your phone number from your carrier to Magicjack. What they won't tell you is that they have cancelled MANY "LRN's" across the country making it impossible to transfer your phone number. They won't tell you that when you are trying to install the device. If your old phone number hasn't been transferred to Magicjack within 1 week then it's not going to happen. You need to contact your previous carrier immediately to TRY to get your old number back before it is reassigned to someone else. Magicjack will NOT explain any of the to you.
