They were great until... (now)
By TheComputerGuy on Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2020
[Updated] They are great again. Thanks to one more post I found, I was able to get these to pair properly and I'm back to loving them. This particular model (A3912) is very picky about how you reset them (if you need to.) If you don't do it right they won't pair properly. I'm hoping I won't need to again but if I do I have practiced a few times just to make sure I can do it with relative ease. I'll post the steps here clearly so that others may benefit if their units decide to lose the pairing: 1) Place both earbuds into the charging case (make sure the case has a charge) for at least 10 seconds. 2) Remove both buds and hold them one in each hand so that you can see the LED lights and press the button on each at the same time. 3) Press the button on each unit for 5 seconds. The LEDs will very briefly flash red once. Let go of the button as soon as it blinks red. 4) Press the button on each unit again for 8 seconds. The LEDs will very briefly flash pink once. Let go of the button as soon as it blinks pink. 5) Put the buds back in the case for at least 10 seconds. 6) Delete the Soundcore Liberty device from your connected Bluetooth device (phone, etc.) 7) Take the buds out of the case at the same time. 8) Wait about 15 seconds then open the Bluetooth source and scan for the ear buds. 9) That process resets the buds, reconnects them to each other, and then pairs the buds to the Bluetooth device. I loved these when I received them. They paired with my phone right away. The battery life is amazing. The sound quality is pretty good with no super-heavy bass and decent mid range. Once I found the correct ear cup they fit perfectly, which is amazing because my right ear canal usually can't get a good seal with these types of units. They worked really well for a month. Then the left side decided that it didn't want to pair with the right, which apparently is the one that connects to the phone. All of a sudden I have one that works and one that won't. The manual goes through the reset process, which I followed more than a dozen times. The two will *not* connect to each other no matter how many times and different ways I try. I went to the Soundcore web site and they seem to have absolutely no mention of this particular model on the site. I have seen several dozen web posts about similar problems and all sorts of work-arounds to try and get them to reconnect. None of these have helped me. Messages to support on the web site have gone unanswered. I would love to keep using these but right now they are completely useless. I'll update this review if I ever get them working again.

DO NOT BUY ANKER LIBERTY WIRELESS EARBUDS!!
By D.E. on Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2020
DO NOT BUY ANKER LIBERTY WIRELESS EARBUDS!! I had really good luck with the ANKER Curve earbuds, so when I wanted to try something totally wireless, ANKER was my first consideration. I bought the earbuds in October 2019 and I’ve now had two sets of the ANKER Liberty earbuds- both sets have lost all connectivity in the left earbud within 1-2 months of light to medium use. ANKER will only continue to send you a defective replacement for what you’ve spent good money for. Take my advice and spend your money elsewhere. The sound quality was decent, but the noise cancellation leaves mucus to be desired. I love the notion of the long battery life, but the sad reality is that the left earbud crapped out before I even ever had to recharge the battery base on this second pair. I wouldn’t trust any of their totally wireless earbuds at all as most of them are simply rebadged or rebranded as Liberty, Zolo, Soundcore, etc. They all look similar or identical, and I can’t imagine the quality is any better in any of them. I will give ANKER credit that they continue to warranty them, but I’d really rather have the peace of mind to have a reliable set of ear buds that work everytime. Guess I’ll look elsewhere since ANKER is more synonymous with “warranty” than “quality.” I’d rather spend my time listening to music than on waiting on warranty replacements. UPDATE: Just got my THIRD (3rd) replacement in the mail; lo and behold, the left earbud will not connect out of the box. I've tried resetting it several times to attempt to get it to connect to no avail. Back to the warranty process.... SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND HEADACHE- LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!
