ViewSonic LS700HD 1080p Laser Projector

I have an established 7.2 theater that I was seeking to upgrade my prior projector. I use this as a 50/50 mix for console gaming (mainly FPS Halo, Borderlands, also some NFS racing) and watching Blueray, hoping to upgrade to 4k w/ this projector. Bottom line: The input lag (the delay between sending a signal and video response) was too much. When I metered it, it ranged 80 - 160ms. A good input lag is <20, ideally ~10 or less. With movies: At times it looked like a bad dubbed video. You would hear the spoken word before seeing a mouth movement, or a gunshot before the gun would fire on screen because of the lag in video (input lag). With games: Games were unplayable. Usually with a game, you push a button, and the character responds (say mario jumps). In this case, you could push a button, fully let go of it, and a bit later the character responded. In games, timing is a big thing (like jumping block to block), but because of the video lag, all you can see is a spot of where your character used to be (delayed video response). In FPS games, you would start to turn a corner, and then just die because you are seeing a delayed video response. For everyone else in the game, they could see you first, open fire, and by the time you realize you have rounded the corner, your character is dead, without you even seeing the opposing team. Had to return the projector and find one with a better input lag, even after I went through video setting and did as much as I could to adjust for this.
