Wow! Best bluetooth speaker I've ever owned!
By superbrain on Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2021
I'm not an audiophile but love music like most people. I've owned a few $150+ bluetooth speakers over the last few years, including a Marshall Stockwell, Urban Ears Stammen, Urban Ears Lotsen and Audio Pro Allroom. This Vizio speaker is superior to all of them, though the Marshall sounds pretty amazing, too. The Audio Pro Allroom is much louder but the bass drowns out the other components of the sound. This Vizio is just so clear and I can hear elements of songs I haven't heard before despite listening to them dozens of times from various speakers. Cymbals are crisp, vocals are super clear and the bass is punchy rather than muffled. Although it is a 2.1 channel speaker, I don't detect the stereo separation, though I'm not surprised given that it's all contained in a small cylinder. It definitely fills whatever room I'm in with sound from all directions. I think this thing is an absolute steal for this price they are now. I can't imagine having paid the original MSRP of $250 or whatever it was, but even for $150 I'd be happy with the sound. I should note that I have no interest in connecting to it via WiFi and I know others have had problems doing so. I live in a small apartment and am perfectly happy with bluetooth. This thing is so solidly built and feels high quality. Even the charging base is heavy and seems well engineered. It is inconceivable there's a better bluetooth speaker out there for this little money. The unit I received appears to be brand new. It doesn't seem like the box was ever opened or that the unit had ever been removed and repacked. I was a bit nervous about that given reports of dents from other customers. I think I'm going to order another and will update my review to reflect the condition of that unit. Someday I'd like to have speakers I can connect in pairs for stereo and these aren't those. At the same time, they sound great on their own and can be paired together in a non-stereo way for multiple room sound. For now, I'm just absolutely delighted listening to it the way it is.

Not worth it, even as a "renewed" model
By _Mike_W_ on Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2021
Bought a "renewed" model for under $40, hoping to get connected as a WiFi speaker. Looks great, no scratches, no dents. Using the Vizio app, I was able to get it set up. As soon I I switched to the Google Home app to caste the speaker disconnected and gets stuck in a "can't find device" click okay look that I had to shutdown to get out of. A complete was of time. Connecting as a Bluetooth speaker is simple, but does have occasional disconnects for no reason. Sound is okay as a Bluetooth speaker, but there are better and cheaper (even at this discounted price for a "renewed" model paid). My advice... look for something better.
