Best TV That Money Can Buy!
By Mike S. on Reviewed in the United States on May 20, 2019
It took me about 2 months, but I finally took the leap and decided to purchase the refurbished/renewed 65” LG C8. I constantly read reviews everywhere online about this TV in general, as well as reviews on refurbished televisions. It seemed to me like 90% of people get a “practically new” product, while 8% receive a product with something minor wrong, and the other 2% receive a completely defective or unusable product. The TV I received looked and worked as if it were brand new! After about 10 days, it arrived in its original packaging with nothing missing. I decided to purchase the 4-year warranty just in case something goes wrong (highly recommended for a refurbished TV). I also purchased Amazon’s professional wall mount installation (highly recommended for an incapable handymen such as myself). If you choose to have it professionally mounted, make sure to buy a wall mount, as the customer must have one for the installer to assemble. I went with the ECHOGEAR Full Motion Articulating TV Wall Mount (on Amazon), and it’s one of the best on the market. Everything worked out perfectly! This television is stunning. It’s the best picture I’ve ever seen. Any 4K content on this TV is crystal clear, and I think it’s the best 4K display you’ll have ever seen. The black images are truly black as each pixel has it’s own light source, and they shut off completely for dark/black images. That’s what really sets this TV apart from any other TV on the market. Even cable TV (which as we know still operates in the stone age as far as picture quality goes) looks really good on this TV. I sit only about 10-12 feet away from the display, and the 65” model is perfect for that distance. I would suggest that after you have the TV installed, set up and turned on, go to RTings.com and use their calibration settings to get the best picture possible. The pointer remote that comes with the TV is really cool and fun to use once you get used to it. The interface is very user friendly. All of the “smart” features are great and respond well. My only wish is that it had HBO GO on it, but that’s no big deal since I can access that on my PS4. If you’re in the market for a sound bar system to go with this TV, look no further than the JBL 5.1 Sound Bar (on Amazon). This sound bar comes with 2 chargeable wireless speakers that detach from the sound bar, as well as a subwoofer. The detachable speakers are what give the wireless surround sound experience. It’s incredible! If you’re on the fence about purchasing the refurbished/renewed 65” LG C8, I say TAKE THE GAMBLE! You’re getting this TV for roughly $1,000 cheaper than the brand new model, but you’re getting basically a brand new model! Get the extended warranty to cover yourself in case anything goes wrong. Buy it and enjoy!

Update - Happiness turns to Disaster
By Nate on Reviewed in the United States on June 9, 2019
Update. After 2 weeks of working great, the TV would no longer turn on. Amazon/LG arranged for a repair man to fix it but he was booked for 2 weeks. After spending 2 Hours un-mounting the TV and 2 weeks without a TV in our living room, they finally arrived and fixed the TV. I remounted it and turned it on and it immediately failed again (they didn’t even test it after the “repair”). I called amazon/LG back and they said that i had to wait another 2 weeks for the repair man. Not it’s the 4th of July and I have a house full of guests and no TV in the living room. I will never buy refurbished again and I’m not happy with Amazon or LG for not properly addressing the issue and leaving me out to dry. I bought this 65" OLED TV "renewed" for much less than the somewhat inferior QLED. It looks and works perfectly, i cant tell that it is not new. Incredible picture quality beyond anything else on the market. The free setup was also great, just in case I wasn't happy in some way, it could be returned with zero effort or cost from me.
