Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS, 42mm) - Space Gray

I had the original Apple Watch and loved it, but recognized some of the shortcomings. It wasn't waterproof, the battery life was poor, it was slow to respond, and it didn't have GPS. After a year or so with the original, I sold it and went watch-less for a couple years. I was ready for a new fitness tracker, so I did hours of research. Eventually I landed on a Garmin smartwatch. While it had its strengths, the UI and display killed the experience for me. I decided to return it and go back to Apple, trying out the Watch 3. If you are all-in on Apple products, there is no comparison to the Apple Watch. Unless you are really hardcore into a niche fitness activity, the fitness tracking features of the Apple Watch will be more than enough for your needs. The GPS is accurate and provides a detailed map after the activity is complete. Since the original Apple Watch, Apple has added monthly challenges for fitness. I really like these and it helps me stay mindful of my activities. The integration with App Store apps is amazing. I use Insight Timer daily for meditation, Spotify during workouts, the excellent Carrot Weather complication, and Uber when traveling. All in all, a seamless and pleasant experience. Battery life is greatly improved from the original watch. I can put the watch on at 6am, workout with GPS for 30-45 minutes, and still have 60% battery life when I go to bed. If you are questioning getting an Apple Watch...don't! It's one of Apple's best products and can literally change your life.
