Very nice subwoofer! Glad I purchased it!!!! Great Price too!

I bought the Jamo to replace a Yamaha sub that was having problems. The Yamaha served me well but it was going so I was looking for an inexpensive alternative that would accommodate a small office. At this price point the Jamo is pretty impressive. Very tight bass and very loud considering it is a 8" sub. I only use it for music so I can't comment on how it would perform with movies, but for music it is awesome! Now I do feel it is a tad tight in it's sound but hopefully it will break in and open up a little. But overall a nice compliment to my tower speakers and it cranks connected to my Yamaha RX-A550 receiver. The Jamo is also really nicely built for a 150 bucks...build quality was better than I expected. Solid construction and pretty heavy too so don't think you're getting something that isn't substantial...this is a substantially built sub. Nice looking too that should fit any modern decor. Overall a great buy that I am quite happy with! Will look to buy more Jamo products in the future!

Azuza loT seller sent a non working damages Jamo Subwoofer
By Mary Yacoub on Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2024
This subwoofer arrived at my door today, I can't really review Jamo, this is basically the review of what I got from the seller as an open-box 'very good' classification from Azuza loT. This listing was labeled as Open Box, and also Very Good (See picture) far from very good condition as it was listed. It should have been listed as for parts only and sold on ebay for 20 bucks, Very good classification means, we don't have a damaged speaker cabinet like that, the box was fine, and it was wrapped and packaged fine, and it said fragile, so it wasn't the packaging. I decided to test the subwoofer when I opened it even though I saw visual damage, and I placed it on bubble wrap to protect both my floor and the sub even though it arrived damaged anyway. I got no sound, I played with the Fequencies, and other settings still nothing. Maybe it was a bad cable? So I tried a different cable as I have several Subwoofer Mono cables, but nothing. Hmmm...I ran another Energy sub using their cable it worked fine so it wasn't the cable. Ok, maybe it's the amp I'm using Fosi Class D amp...tried two different subs I have, Energy and Yamaha subs and they worked fine, so my amp is fine. Hmmm. let's try the Jamo sub with a Denon AV receiver that costs about $1200 bucks as maybe it is not compatible with a Fosi audio class D amp, still no sound. Let's try it with Yamaha Aventage Receiver that costs about $2K, still no sound, let's try it with an Onkyo that's about 500, nothing. 3 of the 4 receivers/amps used were purchased in the past few months and other subs I have run on them just fine. Outcome: Nothing about this Sub is Very Good as it doesn't work and it's also visually damaged. The packaging was fine, the styrofoam protected this adequately, given that it's packed in styrofoam in that very same area also boxed well, and has no damages in the box. This Jamo subwoofer was sent back from an original buyer as broken and not working with physical damage as well, and Azuza loT decided to not inspect and test it and sent it out as very good. What a waste of time and money for everyone! Including your time Azuza loT. DO NOT SEND OUT OPEN-BOX ELECTRONICS WITHOUT VISUALLY INSPECTING IT AND TESTING IT.
