When I first ordered Rocketbook, is was on the recommendation of a friend. I was skeptical because of the erasable properties of the product. I'm a lefty, and I had two concerns. #1 I didn't want to smudge all the time because the ink takes a bit to dry. #2 I don't like slippery writing surfaces because it hinders my control. I had a hard time believing that that erasable surface would fee like real paper. Issue one wasn't in issue because my grip doesn't skid into the ink as much as I thought it would. No problems there! Issue 2 was solved the moment I started writing on it. This stuff feels like paper! It's not like regular notebook paper. It's more like writing on high-gloss magazine. It's a pleasant experience to write on it. And I can't say enough about the erasable quality. As long as you don't put tons of pressure when you write, this book could last you decades. The ink rubs completely clean with just a little water and a microfiber cloth. I would love this book even it all it were was an erasable notebook, but it's the app that brings it all to life! With the help of the app the Rocketbook turns into an infinite notebook! I love how you can send each page to a different folder with a simple X over one of the icons on the bottom. I have used my rocketbook to write up the notes for two terms papers, and to organize my notes for Dungeons and Dragons. I can throw everything into one book, and I don't have to worry about how I'm going to find those notes later. I can check off the "D&D" icon I setup earlier and scan those notes to the cloud. And send my paper notes to their own folders. And now that my papers are done, I can set up new folders for the icons, with just a few simple clicks. If you think best through writing things down, or you need an extra little boost when in your organization, I can't recommend this product enough. Even creative people will find this system valuable. The Frixion line has a wide variety of colored pens and highlighter, every one of which is compatible with the Rocketbook! Get a Rocketbook. It'll be the last notebook you ever have to buy!

Scanning could be better but very helpful organizational tool

I perpetually have lots of yellow post-it notes by my desk and organization of these important notes is always a challenge. I love the idea of Rocketbook (it can scan your notes which are written in the Rocketbook and send them to the cloud so you never lose the notes and you can stay organized). My criticism of the Rocketbook is that scanning from the iPhone app isn't so easy. It will literally take 30-60 seconds for the app to register the note and then scan it. It is very important to have good lighting, but even with good lighting it isn't a simple snap of your camera. for the 30-60 seconds (and it is closer to 60 seconds if not more), you need to keep steady but at the same time move the phone ever so slightly until the app detects the note. It is a little bit of a hassle and not quick or easy. The rest of the stuff is good. I opened multiple folders on my cloud service- one for important #'s, one for file notes, one for personal notes, etc, and you can designate which folder you want a note to scan to. I love that. The pen it comes with, a frixion .7mm pen is just okay. This is my personal preference. I prefer a wider, darker pen and this is a pretty fine point. Overall, this is a great idea, but with the two exceptions noted here.
